This is the first time I've listened to a Stephanie Plum mystery, and it certainly won't be the last. I really enjoyed the lighthearted fun of this novel. The voices were excellently done (I think the narrator is inspired), and the dialog kept making me laugh out loud. While this may not be the deepest novel ever, it is highly entertaining, and fun. Who in the world doesn't need more of that? After I finished it I kept smiling every time I thought of Ranger saying in that deep voice, "Babe."
I listened to this at night (bad idea--it "wakes you at the end, and boy, was I awake!) and the very next day I had much less of an appetite, and wanted smaller portions of healthy foods. Maybe this is just me, but this has been unbelieveably great! I've listened to it around 5 times in the last two weeks, and have lost 5 lbs without effort. I have about 20 more lbs to go, and I'm optimistic that they will just disappear. What a great listen!
I really enjoyed this audio, and it has stuck in my mind for months! It was great having a male and female narrator. The time in the car will travel much faster.
I really enjoyed this book. I wish that it had been unabridged, but other than that, it was wonderful. The story is gripping, and the chemistry between Clair and Jamie is magical. I really enjoyed the narrator's use of Scottish accents, which really brought the story to life. This is one of the few audiobooks that I have listened to a second time.
