  • Stranger

    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs and 49 mins)
    • By Megan Hart
    • Narrated By Gia St. Claire
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

I pay strangers to sleep with me. I have my reasons....But they're not the ones you'd expect. For starters, I'm a funeral director taking over my dad's business. Not exactly the kind of person you'd expect to fork over cash for the lust and urgency only live skin-to-skin contact can create. Looking at me, you wouldn't have a clue I carry this little secret so close it creases up like the folds of a fan. Tight. Personal. Ready to unravel in the heat of the moment. Unsurprisingly, my line of work brings me face-to-face with loss.

Would you try another book from Megan Hart and/or Gia St. Claire?

    Not likely

What could Megan Hart have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The sexual adventures were mundane and boring. Nothing exciting about the main character or her actions.

Would you be willing to try another one of Gia St. Claire???s performances?

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Stranger?

Most of the scenes involving her parents or the rest of her family for that matter. That portion of the story didn't relate.

    Any additional comments?

I was very disappointed in this book. I have listened to Hart's books in the past and they were much more exciting. I found myself fast forwarding through alot of this book in the second part, listening for excited utterances to stop for, no such luck.Talk about beating a dead horse>>> Didn't think it would ever end.

  • First to Kill

    • UNABRIDGED (12 hrs and 42 mins)

    • Narrated By Dick Hill

When you're the best at what you do, it's not always easy to walk away. Nathan McBride was retired. The trained Marine sniper and covert CIA operative had put the violence of his former life behind him. But not anymore. A deep-cover FBI agent has disappeared along with one ton of powerful Semtex explosive, enough to unleash a disaster of international proportions. The U.S. government has no choice but to coax Nathan out of retirement.

    "Full of Cliches and Sappy"

Maybe my headline should have been, "Make My Day!" That may have been the only line I didn't hear! This book was so sappy and full of clich├ęs I chuckled throughout. Cheesy comes to mind as well. The two main characters, partners in a high priced security company, spent the entire time stroking each others ego or complimenting the other to anyone they came in contact with. I kept thinking, "Give me a break!" Okay one of you is Superman and the other is Batman, get over it. These guys were Jack Reacher in roids!! Love ya Man!, on and on and on.

Don't waste your time or credits....

The only bright spot was the narrator, Dick Hill.

    • UNABRIDGED (5 hrs and 20 mins)
    • By Debra Hyde
    • Narrated By Andrea Price

The moment her husband Phillip slips the blindfold over Leslie's eyes, everything changes. Love, trust, honor and devotion all take on new meaning as Phillip leads Leslie through a world of amazing erotic experiences at a private BDSM weekend - on their anniversary, no less. Wonders galore await them - a public scene on a spanking bench, an elaborate shibari rope scene, time spent waiting in a slave holding pen, and submission to the hand of an attractive mistress.

    "Waste of time"

This book was a waste of time. The narrator sounded like she ws reading a children's book. Extremely irritating. I found myself fast forwarding, trying to find an interesting part. Didn't finish listening, had 25 minutes left and didn't even bother. Once again, WASTE OF TIME.

  • The Brass Verdict: A Novel

    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs and 54 mins)
    • By Michael Connelly
    • Narrated By Peter Giles

Things are finally looking up for defense attorney Mickey Haller. After two years of wrong turns, Haller is back in the courtroom. When Hollywood lawyer Jerry Vincent is murdered, Haller inherits his biggest case yet: the defense of Walter Elliott, a prominent studio executive accused of murdering his wife and her lover. But as Haller prepares for the case that could launch him into the big time, he learns that Vincent's killer may be coming for him next.

"From a seasoned Detective.. good listen"

I'm a 17 year cop, a detective for 12 years. This was a very good listen. Pretty accurate with the criminal justice system and its inner workings, down to the tired, less than excited, graveyard shift deputy. I agree with "Dean" ends abruptly but still a very good, realistic listen. Waiting on the next installment of Mickey.

  • The Lincoln Lawyer

    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs and 35 mins)
    • By Michael Connelly
    • Narrated By Adam Grupper
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Haller is a Lincoln Lawyer, a criminal defense pro who operates out of the backseat of his Lincoln Town Car, to defend clients at the bottom of the legal food chain. It's no wonder that he is despised by cops, prosecutors, and even some of his own clients. But an investigator is murdered for getting too close to the truth and Haller quickly discovers that his search for innocence has taken him face to face with a kind of evil as pure as a flame.

Steven says: "Great Legal Thriller, Great Reader"
    "Great Listen-"

Being a police detective I have faced many court situations and defense attorneys. This writing was a very accurate representation of how the court system works. Very good listen. Even though I don't normally cheer for a defense attorney, I was here. Can't wait for the next installment.
