"Very Informative"
Having a son and daughter-in-law with Asperger's, I learned a lot from this book that will be helpful for them.
I liked hearing his words in his voice, it made it seem very authentic
Encouraging my son and his wife to find what they are good at, and being patient, since it may take a while!
"I couldn't turn it off!"
As a dog lover, I enjoy reading books about dogs. This one, told from the dog's point of view was riveting! I could not turn it off! It was incredibly interesting to consider lives from the dog's point of view, and the book made me both laugh and cry at times. I highly recommend this book to dog lovers!
"Exposing the Educational Gaps"
This is one of the most interesting ones I have listened to, and the first political audio book I have done.
One of the most memorable parts of the book was finding out that the part about "Innocent until proven guilty" was illustrated with a case I had read a book about, and that the impression that book left me with was not the whole truth!
I liked his narrating, especially because his passion for the topic comes through. That might not be the same with another narrator.
It is amazing how much of what one is taught in American History classes misses, as I found out with this audio book. Things that I took for granted as "fact" turn out to not be true. If you have an interest in history and politics, this book will make you think!
"A very interesting book!"
In the end, yes it was because I learned a lot from it.
This is another book where the title caught my attention, as I am part Native American. I was a bit disappointed that the focus was primarily on the indigenous tribes of South America. Overall, it was a very interesting book.
"Interesting story!"
The three words I would use to sum up K2 would be interesting, tragic and technical.
He has a nice voice for narrating books and was easy to listen to.
The book was interesting overall, but I felt that the book was more about the mistakes made rather than the drama of the events on K2. It wasn't quite the story I expected, but it was a good one, nonetheless. I suspect that if I knew more about climbing mountains, it would be more exciting.
"Uplifting Story, Well Told!"
As a lover of animals and dog rescuer, I found Oogy's story uplifting. I enjoyed listening to it. The fact that it is not an over-emotional tear-jerker was a definite plus, since I listen to Audio Books as I sew and iron.
Oogy's story of going from an abused dog to a treasured family member. I'm hoping that there will be another book about Oogy as he moves on into his next "career", and I live that just as I was thinking that would be a great thing for Oogy, sure enough, that is going to be his next move!
"Fascinating & Informative"
I would absolutely listen to this book again! I look forward to using it as a reference, because I don't think you can learn all the information in just one listen. As a crisis counselor for disasters, I will be putting the information from this book to good use to facilitate my understanding of non-verbal cues during conversation.
"My Granddaughter loves it!"
I purchased this for my granddaughter who loves dogs. She really enjoyed listening to it.
The only thing that would have made it better is if it actually showed the pages while the book was read.
"I didn't want to turn it off!"
The story was excellent, and the narration was as well. I was caught up in the story, and found it difficult to turn off.
I'm a big fan of Ann Rule and the true crime genre. This is as excellent as any of her other books.
The richness of his voices for the characters in the book. I'd never tried an audiobook until December of 2011, and I love the way they allow me to listen to something interesting while I work. The drama of the narration kept me anticipating the next part of the story.
I was caught up in the whole story right up until the end!
I sew professionally, so this lets me keep my mind busy while doing repetitive tasks and makes the time pass much quicker!
