I've listened to Righteous Indignation three times now and will most probably listen again real soon. It's that good! It's flows beautifully with an honest, sincere and poignant approach to very serious issues currently affecting all of us. Jeremy Guskin's delivery of Breitbart's book is perfection; yes, beyond perfection! His voice isn't that of a polished announcer; it will grab and hold your attention for hours. If you're at all like me, my mind seems to drift a bit while listening to audiobooks. Not the case with this work of genius. It plainly explains! It digs deep and uncovers the strange history of what got us bogged down in political correctness and the diabolical reasons why! And you'll be given hope and encouraged to join the battle while being thoroughly entertained.
First of all, I have listened to it twice thus far. It's just that good!
It compares to the book, Gangster Government. If anyone knows anything about "Chicago-Style Politics" they already know Obama's vein of governing. It's in his blood to ignore the will of the people and do only those things that further his many agendas.
The narration is wonderful. John McLain has life in his voice that will stimulate and hold your attention ... as it's not overly professional. I listened to this book in one setting. It begins with a conversation Bill Clinton had with Hilary. He wants her to oppose Obama in the primary, because "He's an amateur!"
I'm registered as an independent whose growing concern is governmental intrusion into our daily lives to the point of the ridiculous. I'm libertarian who sides with conservatives on many issues. I see an overwhelming amount of waste when government does anything to "fix" things. Yes, often the treatment is worse than the disease. My generation has a saying, "Good enough for government work." But it's no longer a laughing matter. Large swaths of politicians are "featherbedding" as bedlam supervenes. The ill-informed electorate is again being swayed by clichés and rhetoric tested through focus groups.
The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House (along with Ganster Government) are must-reads for those interested in thoroughly "vetting" this president as, in my meaningful opinion, this is our most important election ... ever!
