It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

New York Times best-selling author Rachel Gibson delivers a sordid and quirky romance. Maddie Dupree's mother was once the other woman in a love triangle with Mick Hennessy's parents. It ended tragically. When Maddie returns to Truly, Wyoming, after a long absence, sparks fly between her and Mick. But can white-hot passion erase their painful family histories?

This book was very entertaining. I really enjoyed it and didn't want it to
end. Meg's voice was a little annoying but she is not around too much.
I will look for more Rachel Gibson books from Audible!

Living paycheck to paycheck in Paris, American book translator Chloe Underwood would give anything for some excitement and passion - even a little danger. So when she's offered a lucrative weekend gig translating at a business conference in a remote château, she jumps at the chance to shake things up.

Very mundane. I couldn't wait for it to be over. I'm not sure why I didn't give up on this sooner. It was so predictable this story drove me crazy. Sure glad it wasn't longer.
    Sorry.....don't bother.

Why we think it’s a great listen: If you’ve ever loved a dog - or even patted a dog - this book, told from the perspective of man’s best friend, will tug at your heartstrings...and won’t let go until long after Welch performs the last word. Enzo knows he is different from other dogs: a philosopher with a nearly human soul (and an obsession with opposable thumbs), he has educated himself by watching television extensively and by listening very closely to the words of his master.

Lora says: "Enzo (because he's so wize) for president."

What made the experience of listening to The Art of Racing in the Rain the most enjoyable?

At first I thought this one is not for me. I'm sure glad I continued. This is the book
that comes back to you 25 books later, still thinking about how great it was. Loved it!

In a New York City fifty years in the future, Detective Eve Dallas tracks down those who break the law - including the ones sworn to uphold it. Eve Dallas and her partner, Peabody, are following up on a brutal, senseless crime - an elderly grocery owner killed by three stoned punks for nothing more than kicks and snacks. And for the first time, Peabody is primary detective on the case, which means she has to get used to a new level of authority and responsibility. Good thing she learned the ropes from a master like Eve. But after rounding up the perps, Peabody stumbles upon a much trickier situation.

This is just not my kind of book. The narrator was pretty good but the storyline was so plain and simple. No twists no turns. Very predictable and I didn't like the voice of Peabody. I was sorry I waisted the credit!
