I was spellbound by his books
I have already read most of Courtenay's books and really like most of his work.
This one did never really get off the ground.
I wondered why I stayed with it to the end.
Slow paced and not with the cleverness I'm use to from Bryson.
He should have written the book much later in his career!
I expected more humor and got mostly very foul language.
He ether lied or remembers wrong about RoundUp in his bean field. That herbicide does not kill weeds in minutes, takes a week or 10 days depending on weather and growing conditions.
I stayed with the book long enough to be repulsed by his description of his sexual conquest as a 15 year old, just vulgar in my opinion.
Worth my time
The shortest book I ever downloaded, and I gave up half way!

I purchased this one between my credits. Big misstake. How did this one get the 4 star plus revew!

This is why I love audiobooks. This is so much better than a movie based on a great book. Now I'm off to read the author's other Audible book
If I rate books on a ten point scale, this one is an easy fifteen, maybe twenty. Just such a well told story! I knew Sebiscuit was a great horse, but the story behind it.... I will re-read it to pick up details, I might have missed. Don't pass this one by, please!
