Every woman wants to be Elizabeth Bennet Darcy - beautiful, gracious, universally admired, strong, daring and outspoken - a thoroughly modern woman in crinolines. And every woman will fall madly in love with Mr. Darcy - tall, dark and handsome, a nobleman and a heartthrob whose virility is matched only by his utter devotion to his wife. Their passion is consuming and idyllic - essentially, they can’t keep their hands off each other - through a sweeping tale of adventure and misadventure, human folly and numerous mysteries of parentage.

I find after a stilted beginning, this story is interesting...and shows the misapprehensions of the day....and how communications can change everything....I find myself wanting to hear more and more. I've read it as well and hearing it always brings a whole different perspective to the writing! I'm hoping we can get all three of Linda's Darcy Books into Audible!

I can't say enough about the Outlander Series - probably my favorite series of all time. This series has just the right amount of everyone - and I love that continunity. Davina Porter is the ultimate narrator - and it is a joy to listen to her! That said the book alone is amazing - almost lyrical - Diana transitions effortlessly between characters and their plots and you as an Outlander reader/listener will appreciate the artistry in this offering - I was thoroughly immersed in WMOHB from beginning to end, both reading it and in the audio - thank you, thank you and I eagerly await the next Chapter!!!!!

Young interior designer Ava O'Shea has no idea what awaits her at the Manor. A run-of-the-mill consultation with a stodgy country gent seems likely, but what Ava finds instead is Jesse Ward - a devastatingly handsome, utterly confident, pleasure-seeking playboy who knows no boundaries. Ava doesn't want to be attracted to this man, and yet she can't control the overwhelming desire that he stirs in her. She knows that her heart will never survive him and her instinct is telling her to run, but Jesse is not willing to let her go. He wants her and is determined to have her.

I thought this series had a little bit of Shades of Gray Wanna Be - but it continued to surprise me throughout - Jesse and Ava were both all over the place emotionally (Ava more than Jesse) Jesse was just Jesse in alot of ways from the beginning - both were spoiled and beautiful, but ended up loving each other more than themselves which is a must for me - I liked the first book, and each book was better, the last book was the best of the Trilogy (and as they went along got stronger and stronger) and tugged my heartstrings more than once - while I thought the narration started off shaky, I believe in giving each narrator a real shot and Edita Brychta pulled it off. This series is worth the credits/dollars.

Jesse Ward drowned her with his intensity and blindsided her with his passion, but he kept her away from his dark secrets and broken soul. Leaving him was the only way Ava O'Shea could survive. She should have known that Jesse Ward is impossible to escape - and now he's back in her life, determined to remind her of the sensual pleasures they had shared. Ava is equally determined to get at the truth beneath this man's steely exterior. That means letting herself get close to the Lord of the Manor once more.

She has accepted that she'll never tame the fierceness in Jesse - and she doesn't want to. Their love is profound, their connection powerful, but just when she thinks that she's finally gotten beneath his guarded exterior, more questions arise, leading Ava to believe that Jesse Ward may not be the man she thinks he is.

He's a duke. He's a mathematical genius. He can't talk and he's locked in a lunatic asylum. Only a modest Quaker girl can reach him, but when she helps him to escape, she's swept into his glittering aristocratic world, her life torn apart by his desperate attempt to save himself.

I couldn't literally wait until I got to listen to this, I lost sleep!! Nicholas Boulton is an amazing narrator and this story - well, let's just say I'll listen to anything Laura Kinsale writes and Nicholas Boulton narrates.... Christian is a man with a problem, a big problem, he has a "stroke" and is committed to an asylum. He has shared a passion of mathematics with a Quaker. This Quaker's daughter discovers him at this "civilized" asylum governed by her cousin. She feels moved by God to make him her business. Let's just say Ms. Kinsale treats this problem with the harsh reality it would have in this particular time period (they thought he was nuts) when in truth, the stroke that did not show on the outside, had wreaked havoc on the inside. With Maddiegirls help and personal struggles with her faith...things come along. One of the most realistically written historical romances I have read in a long time. They exist, but they are few. Enjoy the ride. I will make it my business to read/listen to her other books as long as Mr. Boulton is narrating.

After turning his back on the throne for centuries, Wrath, son of Wrath, finally assumed his father's mantle - with the help of his beloved mate. But the crown sets heavily on his head. As the war with the Lessening Society rages on, and the threat from the Band of Bastards truly hits home, he is forced to make choices that put everything - and everyone - at risk. Beth Randall thought she knew what she was getting into when she mated the last pure blooded vampire on the planet: An easy ride was not it.

Don't listen to the naysayers who say there is too much going on - JR makes the plot shifts flawlessly and I loved every bit of it...the Audible version is amazing...I loved everything about this book, there was (almost) enough Wrath and Beth and there was alot of the rest of the Brothers and their Shellans (I'm greedy, I could have had more) and seeds for the future...I hope she writes another book - and I hope we see more of the Brothers in the future....my only critique in this book was the conclusion for Wrath and Beth - while extremely happy it was extremely compressed, I missed some of their inner dialogue which I would have appreciated expanded on. JR is so good at the brothers POV and the inner dialogue...it makes her books! Other than the compressed ending...this book was amazing
    Thanks JR! Keep them coming!

Drew and Kate are Great! I LOVE the Male POV when done well and EMMA CHASE knows the male POV! Thank you! Loved this book, loved the smart-ass self-deprecating humor and cockiness that only a guy like Drew has. Yeah Kate for hanging in there and standing up for yourself! This (audio) made a Good book Great!!! I was glad when Tangled finally came out in Audible. I like my books both in ereader and Audio form. That said, I kind of dislike the females doing the male voices. NOW, that said, Sebastian York rocks (even if a feminine voice by him is ok)..... I could listen to him all day long. Listen up authors....Sebastian York and Jonathan Cole (and Jim Frangione) are voices the ladies can listen to all day long...yes there are good female narrators and I love when they switch back and forth too....but these guys are downright the epitome of sexy. Please Please Sebastian, narrate more books!

I have really liked this series. That said, I have other series I have liked more. That was until I stopped focusing totally on Bennet and Chloe. Beautiful Bombshell was a fun focus on Vegas, Beautiful Beginnings a great conclusion and Beautiful Player (AMAZING!) I dug them. Thanks for the Continuity! Please read: Beautiful Player and Stranger were left off my list because I didn't know if it would pay to step away from focusing on Bennet and Chloe (Did I like the series enough to pay for them??). I was wrong. After I finally listened to Beautiful Stranger (Max and Sara) , I realized I needed to Listen to Will's story. Both Stranger and Player go into Depth in their characters - I love the his and hers versions and the accents by the way on these narrations as well - this is one of the cases where the narration surpasses the written book. Perhaps it's the evolution of the series in my mind, but I prefer to think it's the evolution of the writing (getting better and better) and the redeeming qualities of the characters in this story that puts it on top. Yes Will and Max are/were man whores - WERE is the operative word. The bigger they are, the harder they fall - Love these books, give me some more! Beautiful Player is by FAR the best of the series, and next best is Beautiful Stranger - Bennet and Chloe need more personalization - don't get me wrong, love them, but what they're feeling is never as clear as it is with Will and Hannah and Max and Sarah - I look forward to your continued growth in writing and more books like Player and Stranger - Narration Outstanding!

Picking up where Beautiful Bastard left off, Chloe Mills and Bennett Ryan continue their steamy, combative relationship. Just when Chloe’s career starts to take off, Bennett wishes it would all slow down long enough to spend a wild night alone with his girlfriend. But after he refuses to take no for an answer, Chloe and Bennett find themselves with two plane tickets, one French Villa, and a surprising conversation that, predictably, leaves them wrestling under the covers.

For his part, Bennett's so worried about being distracted by Chloe's body that he makes a no-sex-until-the-wedding-night rule that only seems to be making things worse by continually backfiring on him.
