I really enjoyed this book. The author captured the true essence of what trauma is all about. The narrator captured the sense of the child in that type of situation. The ending was truly unpredicted. I had a hard time putting the book down. It put me there in that very place! A disturbing but true to life story.
I LOVE this series. Ms Hoyt is an excellent writer. I don't necessarily listen to the same book twice, but I definitely look forward to the next in the series!
Her voice is perfect for this series, she pulls you in and weaves a spell.
The story was okay, more sexual than believable. How one could build a life with such a violent taciturn man is beyond me. I was distracted by the narrator's style, she reads as if each sentence is a breathless cliffhanger. I notice she does the same in the rest of the series(I checked it out and she doesn't read that way for American contemporaries!!??). And her UK accents are just atrocious. I wish it weren't so. This series needs different narrator, someone who does the accent justice before I would even try the next book in the series.
I really liked this funny tale of love and sex among science geeks. I plan to read more Anthony Capella (author's real name) books soon!
This was such a lovely find. I love books that are not bleak and depressing yet still remain hearty and thought provoking. This is one of them.
I enjoyed this book so much. It was quirky and fun. I loved the characters. Willie is on a quest through the past. She must find the truth about her family history. And what an inventive and fantastical story unfolds. I highly recommend this one!
