Dennie Banks is an investigative reporter chasing down the biggest story of her career. Alec Prentice is a government agent working undercover to catch an elusive grifter. When they meet by accident, it’s a case of mistaken identities at first sight. What they don’t mistake is the instant attraction they have for each other, an attraction they’ll do everything in their power to resist - because Dennie thinks that Alec is running interference for her interview subject, and Alec suspects that Dennie is linked to his swindler. As the confusion grows, so do their feelings for each other....

The book offers a welcome distraction in a relatively short story. Fun and fluffy but with a enough plot to keep it interesting through to the end.

Sophronia's first year at Mademoiselle Geraldine's Finishing Academy for Young Ladies of Quality has certainly been rousing! For one thing, finishing school is training her to be a spy. Furthermore, Sophronia got mixed up in an intrigue over a stolen device and had a cheese pie thrown at her in a most horrid display of poor manners. Now, as she sneaks around the dirigible school, eavesdropping on the teachers' quarters, she learns that there may be more to a school trip to London than is apparent at first.

David says: "Gail Carriger is truly an author of Quality!"

This is decadent treat...topped with cream brocade. The next in the series can't come out soon enough.

Jake Sullivan is a licensed private eye with a seriously hardboiled attitude. He also possesses raw magical talent and the ability to make objects in his vicinity light as a feather or as heavy as depleted uranium, all with a magical thought. It's no wonder the G-men turn to Jake when they need someoneto go after a suspected killer who has been knocking off banks in a magic-enhanced crime spree.

The plot of the book was fascinating, but the continuous graphicly described violence was over the top. It was a distracting... You can communicate a violent act without describing every blood splatter and disimbowelment. I enjoy fantasy and science fiction but this one was disappointing.

At once wildly original and stuffed with irresistible nostalgia, Ready Player One is a spectacularly genre-busting, ambitious, and charming debut—part quest novel, part love story, and part virtual space opera set in a universe where spell-slinging mages battle giant Japanese robots, entire planets are inspired by Blade Runner, and flying DeLoreans achieve light speed.

    Story

As a child of the eighties and a little geeky, the pop culture references were spot-on for me and the story was truly addicting.
Additionally, after this third book I have listened to with Wil Wheaton as the narrator ... I will be joining his fan club. I choose this book because he was doing the reading and was not disappointed. He does a fantastic job.
A struggled momentarily with how dark "reality" was portrayed but it seemed to support the story line perfectly.
    A+ all around

Pocket has been Lear's cherished fool for years. So naturally Pocket is at his brainless, elderly liege's side when Lear demands that his kids swear to him their undying love and devotion. Of course Goneril and Regan are only too happy to brownnose Dad. But Cordelia believes that her father's request is kind of...well...stupid, and her blunt honesty ends up costing her her rightful share of the kingdom and earns her a banishment to boot.

Michael says: "Mr Moore does it again."

A wonderful listen. The performer did a great job communicating the biting dark humor that Christopher Moore is known for.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

An ending... the story felt very unfinished like it just stopped.

What was most disappointing about Daniel Pinkwater???s story?

This was an interesting story but it seemed to just end in what seemed like the middle. I even checked back to make sure the entire file had downloaded. I would love to hear the rest of the story.

Which character ??? as performed by Daniel Pinkwater ??? was your favorite?

    Borgel of course!

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Borgel?

I wouldn't have cut - I would have added... the rest of it?? if there is any more.
