"Outstanding !"
One of the better audible recordings available. Great story, subtly modernized but retains the character of Shakespeare. Huge thumbs up !

"Excellent Read."
This is a fantastic book. It is read with spirit and enthusiasm by the writer, and it works. It is funny, saracastic, silly, offensive, rude and abrasive. But it comes together in a sensible, meaningful manner. Yes, he curses a lot, but its part of the whole flow of the book. The stories are poignant, and you realize he is a humble, honest, and kind man, trying to make it in a strange world.
I loved this book, and immediately purchased his newest on Audible, then went to Itunes and bought a season of his TV show (Penn & Teller "BS".)
Big thumbs up !
"Pretty lame"
Ugh. Hers a few words you WON'T be learning..... Soap, deodorant, toothpaste. Also, no French words for bravery, backbone, or testosterone. Just a bunch of silly phrases in random order.... PASS !!!!
"Kafka-esque terrific"
A true classic. Works very well on audible. Almost a short story, but a wonderful narrative.
"Great book"
Great book, good narration, Brings the original idea, and story... Further down the road.
"Good, but not his best."
Lacks the grab your attention factor of the other Scott Peck books. This one is kind of a dud.
"Funny, let's build a religion around this guy!"
Pretty lame, and rather poorly written sci-fi. Like something a high school student would write. Of course, his silly sci-fi, and stories of King Zeptune from planet Algernon are, wait... Real! And Scientology is real! And , oh good lord. More people should read this mediocre fiction nonsense to realize that not even L Ron Hubbard believed Scientology was real. Heck, he admitted it was a made-up tax-scam before he died. Try finding that nugget of truth in Tom Cruise's
"If only Obama would read this ...."
Should be required reading by every politician, not just the nuts on the left, but the nuts on the right. And yes, I think they are all nuts. This book is our future. Sad.
But already occurring .
"Drags a bit"
Okay, not great. I liked the book, but the audible seems to be dragging on and on. Very dry. And pretty dull.
"Outstanding! Neurology perfection."
Oliver Sacks is the undisputed King of the medical neurology tale. Weaving drama, intrigue, suspense, and moving characters with incredible and extremely academically enlightening medical fact. The book, one of my favorites since college, (and one I re-read numerous times through medical school and my eventual neurology residency) is simply phenomenal. I have given copies to college students considering medical school, and medical students considering their residency. It truly reveals the brain, and the mind, better than any other book, text, or article.
Don't be frightened off, however. The layperson, the non-physician, will be just as captivated, just as amazed. The intrigue, the mystery of some of the brain injuries, or pathology of the disease, captures better than any James Bond villain. The suspense more real, the issues more valid.
I have read this book many, many times, but I must comment on the narration. The reader brings this story alive. He is slow, deliberate, and moves at the perfect pace. Inflecting, pausing perfectly, enunciation of each word, each idea; as good as any audible book in my library. (over 700, so this is rare, and high praise for me.).
I give this a Thumbs Up. A home run by the Sultan of Neurology.
"Suspenseful, Outstanding Audible Book."
I am not a chess player, and barely know how to play the game, but this book was a home run! Perfectly written, with fantastic narration, and a
