Three years ago, Caro Warrick was acquitted for the murder of her best friend, Amelia Bettecourt, but the lingering doubts of everyone around Caro is adversely affecting her life. Sharon McCone is confident that she can succeed where other detectives have failed (though at times it's hard to shake her own misgivings about what happened), but when Caro is brutally beaten right at Sharon's doorstep, the investigation takes on a whole new course. How many more people remain at risk until Amelia's murderer is finally caught? This audio includes a bonus McCone story, "Skeleton in the Closet"!

Would you listen to Looking for Yesterday again? Why?

Absolutely. I liked that Sharon was the center of attention again and the story was very compelling.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I think Ted and Ray are my favorites but they don't get a lot of airtime in this book.

What does Laura Hicks bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Voices for everyone - even when I read her books now I will have voices for all the characters.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Nope but I listen to books to escape.

Indy Savage is a former wild child (okay, maybe not so "former") and current used-bookstore owner. Lee Nightingale is a former bad boy and now runs a private investigation service. Toss together a quiet barista with a not-so-lawful side-business, a crazy Vietnam Vet, a pothead, a drag queen, family and friends who will not mind their own business, a few stun guns, and a bag of diamonds, and mix them all up with some shootings, a high-speed chase and car bombs exploding, then hang on for your first wild Rock Chick ride.

This is not a mystery. I guess it might be a romance but don't be fooled by the advertising - it is much dirtier than Janet Evanovich's books!

Captain Alexei Korolev has nothing to complain about. He has his own room in an apartment, a job in the police force that puts food on the table, and his good health. In Moscow in 1937, that's a lot more than most people have to be grateful for. Korolev receives an urgent call from his boss - it seems an important man has been murdered, and Korolev is the only detective they're willing to assign to this sensitive case.

Sybella arrives at the convent’s doorstep half mad with grief and despair. Those that serve Death are only too happy to offer her refuge - but at a price. The convent views Sybella, naturally skilled in the arts of both death and seduction, as one of their most dangerous weapons. But those assassin's skills are little comfort when the convent returns her to a life that nearly drove her mad. And while Sybella is a weapon of justice wrought by the god of Death himself, He must give her a reason to live. When she discovers an unexpected ally imprisoned in the dungeons, will a daughter of Death find something other than vengeance to live for?

Great story! I hadn't read a JA Jance book in a while and I'd forgotten how much I like her characters. I solved one of the mysteries early but there were actually two incorporated into this book and the second outcome was a complete surprise.

My name is Gwen Frost, and I go to Mythos Academy - a school of myths, magic, and warrior whiz kids, where even the lowliest geek knows how to chop off somebody's head with a sword and Logan Quinn, the hottest Spartan guy in school, also happens to be the deadliest. But lately, things have been weird, even for Mythos. First, mean girl Jasmine Ashton was murdered in the Library of Antiquities. Then, someone stole the Bowl of Tears, a magical artifact that can be used to bring about the second Chaos War. You know, death, destruction and lots of other bad, bad things.

Same idea as Rick Riordan's books - that the gods and goddesses have kids but with a different twist. In this case they are all training to defeat/hold back the god Loki. The book is part mystery part fantasy.

Since she can remember, Katarina's relatives have been grooming her for the family business - thieving. But when Kat tries to go straight and leave the Life for a normal life, she's promptly kicked out of her new school for stealing the headmaster's car and mounting it on the school fountain. Although she could have done it without breaking a sweat, ironically, this time, she's innocent.

A new school comes with new friends and new enemies, and lucky for Mickey, it also comes with a great new girlfriend, Ashley. For a while, it seems like Mickey’s train wreck of a life is finally improving - until Ashley vanishes without a trace. Unwilling to let another person walk out of his life, Mickey follows Ashley’s trail into a seedy underworld that reveals that this seemingly sweet, shy girl isn’t who she claimed to be.

This was a real surprise. I've enjoyed Coben's Myron Bolitar books but this is by far the best book I've read by him. It was a complex plot, used good vocabulary and didn't have the gratuitous sex that are in Coben's adult books.

Wyclef Jean is one of the most influential voices in hip-hop. He rocketed to fame in the 1990s with the Fugees, whose multiplatinum album, The Score, would prove a landmark in music history, winning two Grammys and going on to become one of the best-selling hip-hop albums of all time. In Purpose, Wyclef recounts his path to fame from his impoverished childhood in "Baby Doc" Duvalier's Haiti and the mean streets of Brooklyn and Newark to the bright lights of the world stage.

I really enjoyed this biography. The story was compelling and though it is obviously a little biased (there are two sides to every story) I finished the book liking Wyclef even more. If you grew up listening to the Fugees and Wyclef like I did you should definitely read this book. Sam's narration is an added benefit because it makes the reader feel like they are listening to Wyclef himself.

Now it's on Stephanie to track down the con man. Unfortunately, Cubbin has disappeared without a trace, a witness, or his money-hungry wife.
