"Worth the credit"
I have been fan of Leon for years and this book didn't disappoint! It is a solid Brunetti book. If you haven't read any of Leon's books I suggest you start with book one since it is a series where the characters (especially Signorina Elettra and Vianello) developing over time. If you have read Brunetti before and disliked his ending I will tell you that this one is more satisfying than usual.
"Fast Paced and clean"
Great story! I hadn't read a JA Jance book in a while and I'd forgotten how much I like her characters. I solved one of the mysteries early but there were actually two incorporated into this book and the second outcome was a complete surprise.
"More Kids of Gods and Godesses"
Same idea as Rick Riordan's books - that the gods and goddesses have kids but with a different twist. In this case they are all training to defeat/hold back the god Loki. The book is part mystery part fantasy.
"A Pleasant Surprise"
This was deeper than I expected it to be. It's definitely YA but it still has a good message about war crimes. I'm looking forward to reading another one.
"Great Story for teens or adults!"
This was a real surprise. I've enjoyed Coben's Myron Bolitar books but this is by far the best book I've read by him. It was a complex plot, used good vocabulary and didn't have the gratuitous sex that are in Coben's adult books.
"A Compelling Autobiography!"
I really enjoyed this biography. The story was compelling and though it is obviously a little biased (there are two sides to every story) I finished the book liking Wyclef even more. If you grew up listening to the Fugees and Wyclef like I did you should definitely read this book. Sam's narration is an added benefit because it makes the reader feel like they are listening to Wyclef himself.
"This book is worth your credit!"
Absolutely. I liked that Sharon was the center of attention again and the story was very compelling.
I think Ted and Ray are my favorites but they don't get a lot of airtime in this book.
Voices for everyone - even when I read her books now I will have voices for all the characters.
Nope but I listen to books to escape.
"Not bad"
I don't know why everyone has said this book is so bad. It was a little short but it was much better than the last Stephanie book and I really enjoyed it.
"Culinary Memior at Its Best"
I've read a lot of memoirs about cooking from Ruth Reichl to Anthony Bourdain but this might be the best one yet. Samualsson's reading makes it so personal to listen to but he remains humble throughout. This isn't the cocky book that usually comes from the celebrity chef world. This is absolutely worth your credit!
"Disappointing"
I look forward to new additions to the series but this was a big disappointment. Alex whined through the entire book. She was so annoying that I considered not finishing it. She has always been such a strong female character - I don't know why Fairstein wrote her personality this way in Night Watch. Barbara Rosenblat is my favorite reader but even she shouldn't redeem this.
"Worth the credit"
A great new series. Only two complaints first - since he isn't Russian I would be careful about taking what he says about Soviet and especially post Soviet (from the interview at the end of the book) life as definitely true. Also, it seemed like he couldn't quite make the mystery long enough so he drew out the end of the book with lots of captures. Otherwise this was very entertaining and I will definitely read the next one. As for the reading - usually I don't like Simon Vance because he makes me sleepy but he was a great fit for this book.
