the story line was just ok, I was expecting more of a zombie based story line, but it was a ok listen driving back and forth to work. However the narration is horrible. The character voices are very bad it takes away from the book, almost to the point you think it is a joke

P.D. James' eloquence and descriptive storytelling shines in this story about murder on an isolated island, but when we get 3/4 into the investigative procedure and out of nowhere, the solution to the crime simply pops into a sick Adam Dalgleish feverish mind, I felt cheated, and that I had wasted the last 6 hours. We, who went through all the investigation, realize that it proved mostly meaningless, since Adam seems to have the clarvoyance necessary for the solution.
Go figure? No, don't. I will be VERY interested to see how this story will flesh out on video, if it ever does. Perhaps in the video, a "dah-dah" sound effect will justify Adam Dalgeleish's unexpected and out-of-nowhere solution, but it won't remedy our sense of bewilderment and disappointment at being deprived of a fitting ending to an otherwise satisfying tale.

What a wonderful Christmas story. This story takes place over 17 hundred years of the life of Saint Nicholas and how he became Santa Claus. The story reviles how he started and all of his adventures of himself and companions thru the ages. starting from 300AD until present, and you would not believe who his companions are. The story even tells how the reindeer came to fly. I loved the story so much, I went and bought the book so I can read to my kids. This story will be in my house and my heart for years to come. This story is a must for all readers..

Edenborn by Nick Sagan, what gives with this book? The first 5 min. of this book was the best, so much potential then came minutes 10 then 60 on and on..I guess this is a new way to write books reading like you are hearing read you a diary, or a "Captains log from Star Trek. There are only a hand full of people in the world who have survived epidemic known as Black Ep. the Story is nothing more than Diary inputs. I found it very distracting I have to struggle just to force myself to keep to it finish, finely after the 5th hour I couldn't take it anymore and had to stop . Sorry Nick

The The Martian Chronicles has always been one of my favorites, however this story was very fragmented, Ray Bradbury gave his comment thou out the book, and at the beginning of each chapter. When the book starts drawing you in all of the sudden Ray Bradbury stated whys and how comes of why he wrote the book this way and how he came up with the idea of the Martian masks, all of his commentary's should have been at the first or the last of the book.

The story follows Special Agent Pendergast and local law enforcement personnel on a hunt for a brutal serial murderer in rural Kansas. Pendergast enlists the aid of a young high school outcast as he delves into the towns secrets and solves the grisly murders. If you like the X-Files you will love this book.

Mr.. Murder takes the evil twin theme to new heights. In fact Koontz manages to allow you to feel sorry for Marty Stillwater's twin, named Alfie who has been programmed by evil men to be a serial killer/assassin. Alfie doesn't know he has a twin, nor does Marty and his family, or the detectives investigating the murders. Alfie in fact does not know much about his life, so assumes he actually is Marty upon seeing a photograph of what he assumes is himself on a book cover. Unfortunately The book falls short in expectations and leaves many unanswered questions, can a clone really inherit the memories of the host..?? This was not one of the books that keeps you on the eadge of the seat.

If you have not read any of the Dark Tower Books read them first. You will need the history. However at the start of the book it will summarize all of them, however it is brief

In the Wolves of Calla, it is the continuation story of Roland Deschain and his ka-tet trying to reach the dark tower, however again I am disappointed in Steven King. Flagg will be back. Father Callahan (Salem's Lot) Has turned up, and if that wasn't enough (don't want to spool it )but you would never believe who is the guardian of the Tower.
I feel that King is running out of ideas, It is a entertaining however, I am just disappointed that King is pulling from his other books and not original story lines.

This book delivers the wonders of being a boy this is different from the norm. We see his life evolve as his powers start to appear and he and his family must deal with the problems they bring. In the background the powers of darkness (or disorder) start to array themselves against young Alvin and try to bring him down. Thus the story also deals with the persecution of Alvin by the ignorant and the understanding of him by the few who begin to recognize who he can become. All of these characters are introduced and described wonderfully well, as is the world where they live, and the conflicts they have. Unfortunately, just when the conflicts have grown to their crisis point and must be resolved, the novel ends

Another great chapter in the Ender seres. You find out what happens to Ender after his incounter at command school, and as a young man he finaly finds a place for him and the "Buggers".
