Kevin T. Collins made the entire series most enjoyable, along with the sound effects.
I have yet to find another series that compares to these books.
Both Kevin & Khristine brought warmth, affection and emotion to the story.
During one scene where Hunter & Abraham were having their final battle with the group, I had waves of goosebumps.
A lot of people seem to be picking on Khristine as a narrator, I actually thought she did a fantastic job. Nobody will ever compare to Kevin but believe me, listen to a couple of the narrators in the City of Bones series...now THEY were horrid. Khristine did an amazing job.
Overall, this is now my favourite series of all time. It's too bad the movie was terrible and did a hatchet job on the first book.
Even though this was a short novel, it really filled in the gaps and left me wanting more!
To be honest, there was no enjoyment listening to this audiobook while the book itself is really good.
The story itself grabbed my attention and leaves me looking forward to the following book (and the movie).
It was TORTURE listening to the narrator, it was like listening to a depressed emo girl who was reading extremely poorly from cue cards. What were they thinking when hiring this girl? Don't they screen people first? The narration was so bad, I really don't know if I want to continue to the next book. I really don't think I could listen to that voice ever again.
I could never listen to this book in once sitting, it's a bit much to take in all at once.
Normally, I'd want a refund due to the horrible narrator but I still enjoyed the book.
Children under 10
Mark of Athena
The narrator was really annoying, especially in the last part, he sounded too much like he was trying to imitate Leonard Nimoy.
You can skip this book entirely, it is not necessary for the Heroes of Olympus series.
