It feels like the narrator, Peter Delloro, is yelling at you the whole time, or at least talking very loudly. There is no fluctuation in his voice. Every word is at the same volume level and I couldn't make it through the first chapter. Try one of the other narrators for this same book so that you can have a better listening experience.
Great book with interesting and fun characters. Flavia, a 10 year old self taught chemist works to solve the murder her father has confessed too. With sisterly angst and the family faithful retainer reliving the war inside his head, Flavia has a lot to traverse to get the answers to her clues. She may be a little too smart for her own good.
I have really enjoyed this series until this one. There is a lot of poetry by Rupert Brooke and I know I should have enjoyed it but I found it a mostly boring story. I love the characters & will continue on.
