Years ago, the day before Ellie moved from Georgia to California, she and her best friend, Nolan, sat beneath the Spanish moss of an ancient oak tree where they wrote letters to each other, and sealed them in a rusty old metal box. The plan was to return 11 years later and read them. But now, as that date arrives, much has changed. Ellie, bereft of the faith she grew up with, is a single mom living in a tired apartment trying to make ends meet. Sometimes she watches television to catch a glimpse of her old friend - Nolan, now an NBA star, whose terrible personal tragedies fueled his faith and athletic drive in equal measure.

They should have known better than to relax their guard, because a shocking revelation sends them back into action to stop an all-out war…. A rogue CIA agent is involved in horrifying secret activities that threaten to raise tensions between humans and the undead to dangerous heights. What made the experience of listening to Up from the Grave the most enjoyable?

When I started Audible this is the very first book I've ever listen to, and now I can't seem to like any other ones other than it's read by Tavia Gilbert and written by Jeanine Frost. I've been stuck for over two years trying to find the same feel and experience that this book has given me.

The mix of characters and personalities is what draws you to keep listening and to keep following the story.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The writing is so well, it's so personal and flows very well. Tavia Gilbert just adds so much more with her delivery on every character.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Every scene gives you different feeling. This book seriously takes you away to your imagination. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! it is just truly addicting. My favorite Cat and Bones, I really hope they make a movie out of this book. If there is a voting, count me in!

You can run from the grave, but you can't hide. Half-vampire Cat Crawfield is now Special Agent Cat Crawfield, working for the government to rid the world of the rogue undead. She's still using everything Bones, her sexy and dangerous ex, taught her. But when Cat is targeted for assassination, the only man who can help her is the vampire she left behind.

If you could sum up One Foot in the Grave in three words, what would they be?

    officially addicting story

What was one of the most memorable moments of One Foot in the Grave?

I'd like to say when they got really intimate was above and beyond my personal imagination. I have to say this book is very well written, out most entertaining.

Have you listened to any of Tavia Gilbert’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to Halfway to the Grave and I'm about to listen to the next series of this book. I can't wait! I just wanted to share how great this book is and how well performed. In the beginning with Bones vocal usage is I feel an acquired taste, I felt it was off in the beginning but eventually really got use to it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I always look forward and anticipate in continuing listening to it.
