My Book Club chose this book for the month of October. I decided to buy the audio book so I could listen while commuting. I was painful to listen to. The female voice sounded like a pre-recorded computer voice. Because of this I did not enjoy the book, and only half listened while doing other things. I only finished it because it was part of the book club, if I was listening on my own...I would have stopped about 1/4 of the way through.Didn't seem to be a thriller. Mostly predictable.
Different readers, better direction.
Funny - laugh out loud funny! CharmingDelightful
When Andy was at a dinner party and the Cappuccino affect came quickly....
The voice of Waverly. I think the narrator captured her perfectly. I would have like to hear a little more variation in the voices for the supporting characters, at times I really had to concentrate to figure who was speaking.
Jake, because he sounds delicious. But seriously...Waverly, she's so funny, and clumsy, and cute.
I purchased this book via the daily deals for $3.95, its probably one of the best purchases I have made yet. I liked the book so much I decided to immediately review it and buy the rest of the series.
I really liked that the male in this story wasn't an 'Alpha', yet he was still funny and sexy. It was refreshing because this is the first story I have listened to that the guy wasn't a dominating control freak, who was perfect looking in every way. Kennedy's attraction to Nate developed over time.
Searching for someday...the first book in the series. There were similar storylines in each one.
Yes, and I did...may have not been the most productive thing to do this long weekend, but it sure was enjoyable.
Normally I like books that are full of smexyness. There was only a little of that in this one....but it sure was good.
Yes. Its hot, funny, emotional, suspenseful. Did I mention its hot!?! I have read/listened to a couple of really good books...like FSOG and This Man series...this series...especially this book , is the hottest, sexiest, steamest by far.
The time they spent at the beach. I loved everything about that trip!
Jill Redfield's narration is great! I can't choose!! Eva and Gideon are obvious...so I will go with Carey!
I was VERY disappointed to realize this series is NOT a trilogy...but a series of 5...and the 4th book isn't even finished yet!! I was really looking forward to finding out what really happened in the end with Nathan.
Yes, it was a good way to pass the time. Not the best book I have ever listened to, but certainly not the worst!
To me there seemed to be some technical issues with the audio itself. Possibly due to poor editing. Right in the middle of the dialogue, the sound of the narrators voice would change, but only for part of a sentence like one or two words. It didn't sound like it was meant to put emphasis on those particular words, it just sounded off. It would be one thing if it was a whole paragraph or change in character.
Elvira. She had the most sass and was very entertaining.
Along with the technical glitches...some of the writing drove me insane. I don't think it is likely that three very different types of men would all call Gwen "Babe". The use of the word "babe" is extremely excessive. It think its possible that almost every character used the word babe. Gwen even called her best friend's husband babe. Very irritating. Its the writer's "thing" because I just started listening to the second book in the series...and you guessed it...babe this....and babe that....
Yes. I really enjoyed Jesse's passion, and the intense chemistry between him and Ava.
Another review I read said it reminded them of Fifty Shades of Grey Series, which I loved. There were some similarities in each character's behavior, but I think Jesse and Ava's chemistry is even more than Christian and Anna's....I didn't think it was possible.
I have never listened to any, but I would again without a second thought. You could really get a sense of how each character was feeling through her narration.
I waited to download this series until the third one came out. Then I downloaded to listen while on vacation...I have 3 days left until I leave and I just finished the first book...Likely will be done the second before I leave....its a good...addictive listen.
I likely wouldn't listen to this one again, the others in the series I would listen to in a heartbeat. I would have preferred to know everyone one's "Beautiful Beginning" not just Bennett and Chloe's. After listening to Max and Will's stories...Bennett's is a little boring. This one was still pretty steaming though.
I like that the wedding wasn't perfect...because in reality they never are...something always happens. So the fact that it wasn't prefect made it more believable and enjoyable.
I would recommend the whole series. They are sexy and fun. Dynamic personalities, strong women and super sexy men.
Max, who wouldn't love tall, good looking, sweet talking Brit?
The two voices work well together. Of course, loved Jonathan's accent, made Max come to life and made him even sexier.
The whole public sex in a club was a little shocking at first, but it worked well for the two of them.
Towards the end of Beautiful Stranger and throughout Beautiful Bombshell, it was clear that Will was going to be the next guy with a story. I had low expectations for this book, even though I really enjoyed the whole series so far. I loved it. I really liked the relationship development between Will and Hanna. Like the other books, this one was funny. In my opinion it was the funniest. I usually listen while on the train to work....I sure got some strange looks when I would let a little chuckle slip because I could hold in my laugh. I want to read more about Will and Hanna, or really just Will. I would really like to read/listen to a Max/Will backstorey.
Will, he just seems so deliciously dreamy!
I like Grace, like the other books. I finally liked Sebastian's voice in this one. He seems fitting as Will, I didn't care so much for his voice for Bennet
Flirty and Fun!
