"If you loved Gabaldon's Outlander... skip this."
I wanted to like this book, as I have loved Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series (and have reread them over and over) But, this was such a ridiclous book. Over the top corny, predicable cheap thrill romance. I was hugely diapponited.
"Bravo!"
I hope those considering this book have already read/listened to Twilight (book 1) and New Moon (book 2). Even at 42 years of age I am a huge fan. Breaking Dawn (book 4) is due to be released in 2 days (actually 1.25 days) and I am hoping that it is available on Audible immeditely (Like most of you, I prefer to listen instead of read (I drive all day)). What a truly captivating story.
ps: I also love the young lady reading. It is consistent throughout the three books (soon to be four). and she really brings more dimension to Bella.
"Heartwrenching yet fantastic"
Wow! I could really feel Bella's pain. This was a very emotional sequel to Twilight. (I must say that I am not on team Jacob though... I love Edward!) I have finished all three of the four books (Book one is Twilight and book three is Eclipse... listen to them in order) and am counting down the hours until Breaking Dawn! At 42, I found that this series isn't just for teens/young adults.
"Loved it!"
I am 42 and still found the story very enjoyable. I didn't want to stop listening. Sure, I would have prefered that things got a little more... adult. However, I enjoyed it so much that I am moving on to the second book in the saga and happily anticipting Bella's story to continue to unfold. Oh! I am not sure why one reviewer found the narrators voice unpleasant. I happened to LOVE the narrators voice.
"Such a great tale"
Awesome book. I am not usually one for romance novels, but there is the perfect mix of romance, history and science fiction (time travel) to keep me hooked. I have read the series. Loved all 6. But this one is the best!
"Very comforting"
A very enjoyable book that provides great comfort to those who believe or simply have an open mind.
