I can't say I loved this book for a few reasons. It ended and I felt there were still some unanswered questions. It ended quickly and I was looking for a epilogue to give us a glimpse into the future. Overall the book was good but I can't put my finger on why it was not great. Maybe I am just over critical but since starting this series I have read other series and feel that this one is just lacking a bit. The narrators were ok. I agree with others that the Shane East has a great male sexy voice but his female voice is a bit irritating. Although I like Grace Grant I find she reads a bit fast and so whenever I start her books I need to get accustomed to her speed then I don’t notice as much. She does a good job of acting the story and not just reading it but still there is something. Sometimes she sounds like she has too much saliva when she talks. Ok maybe I am really being picky but that is what I thinking deep down. Would I recommend this book? Yes. It is enjoyable and the three books make for an enjoyable listen. I would read something else by this author in the future.
This book was just ok for me. I caught myself wondering off a few times and having to rewind thinking I might have missed something. The story was not bad but nothing special. Narration was great but I really enjoy Tavia Gilbert so maybe bias. It had a unique twist with vampire cowboys/shifters and werewolves. I liked Caleb and Allie together although there were no surprises to their story. (Well maybe a small one) I think there is potential for future books so I will continue with this series and hope there are a few more surprises to come. I liked that Allie was not a pathetic mouse and gave as good as she got. I enjoyed her taunts about Caleb being an “1860 man”. I did not understand how she could so easily give up her entire life and family and her business and not have any remorse. I think if the author did not want to pursue this part of the story, they should have made her an only child. I also struggled with the whole mental manipulation part. I've read books like that before and liked them. This one was just a bit too vague on what was happening for my taste. They would just start talking about bright spots and connections and pathways. You did not really understand what was going on or at least I did not get it. As I said there is potential to get better and reviews show that the other books do get better so I will keep on listening. I got the third book on sale so that is what sparked me to start the series.
I have to start by saying that I enjoyed this book. Although, I kept thinking that I missed something. At one point I went on Kristen Ashley's website to see if there was a book before this. They kept talking about Cherry and Tack and all the trouble she got into but I did not remember any of this and so thought I might have missed a book. This book is very similar to Joanne Wylde's Reaper's Series that you could easily get them confused. I have to say I did at one point I thought both books were from the same series. I have to say that I like Joanne Wylde's book a bit more. They are both excellent and you will not waste a credit. This book jumps though several years of Tabby's life and I think the author could have gotten to the action in the story sooner. I think the next book will be better as now the storyline is all set up to have more action and drama from the start of the book. This story was good but not has hardcore biker as others I've read. Overall a good listen.
I had high hopes for this book but I think it fell a little flat for me. I am not exactly sure why but there was something missing. There was chemistry between Mika and Grady but I feel like their characters were not developed enough. I agree with some other reviews that Grady was not Alpha enough for me. Mika had potential to be a sarcastic, bitchy character but again it was not consistent enough. I enjoy female leads that are sarcastic so I was hoping it was going to be a strong theme throughout the book. I have to say that GC VonCloudts did a great job at trying to liven up the narration. I have no complaints on that part. I even feel the sex scenes were just mahhh. They were not terrible but not really great. I would hope that the next book picks up and the story lines and gets better. I can definitely think of better books if you like paranormal. Jeaniene Frost has a great series. I am not going to say I won't listen to more as I always like to give authors a chance but I and not positive at this point.
If you are looking for a book loaded with sex, then this is for you. There was very little plot to the book and after a while the sex just gets old and you want to skip ahead. I did not love this book. It was difficult to get the connection between the 4 characters. You definitely get the connection between Eric and Lindsay but then you are not sure about where Connor and Travis fit in. You can feel Connor and Travis' connection bet then Eric does not really fit in. The author tries to establish a storyline but it is just lacking in plot and details. The entire connection all happens so fast and you don't really understand why the guys invited her for the weekend after just one chance meeting and when it is explained it just does not fit into things. The entire possibility of seeing into a person's desires just did not work for me. (Hope this was not a spoiler) Save your credit. It would be ok as a filler book or something on sale.
This series is getting better with each book. The characters are developing and the story is getting more twists and turns. I was excited to listen to Valiant's story as he was gruff and all alpha. I loved Tammy's smartass personality. I also liked how the author brings back storylines from the previous books so you can find out what happens. I am going to continue reading Justice’s story because there is just a lot of potential for things to happen. I would recommend this series. Is it one of my favourites? I would say it is very enjoyable and a solid listen but I would not necessarily rank it as amazing. However, you will not be disappointed.
Ok so this is a great series. I really liked the first book and was so glad that there was not a long wait for the second. I think this book was good if not a little overdone. The romance between Remington and Brooke continues and there is enough twist to keep it interesting. My only critic would be that the mushy "I love you so much" was a little overdone for me. I get that they are each other's life and they cannot live without each other but really it was just a bit too much. I would still recommend this as there is a good plot and some interesting twists. I think the author did a great job continuing the story without making it boring or repetitive. I highly recommend this as you will not regret using your credit.
I like this series. It is not amazing but an overall enjoyable listen. There is action, romance and just enough to keep you hooked for the next book. I really like that there are a few characters in each book that keep coming back. The concept of the book is also good. Slade was a great character and I loved when he called Trisha “Doc”. I don’t want to give away what happens but it is good and will keep this series going in a unique direction. Also in this book the author gives you a little more background into the labs and how they tortured new species. Overall a good listen. I will continue on with the series as I think that there is room for more twists. I also want to find out what happens to Valiant and Trisha.
This is not a book you can listen to without concentrating. There are a lot of different types of species/witches/creatures and I found that you need to pay attention or you can get lost. Also I wish I could flip back and forth to remember who was who. This was more difficult with the audible book. I like paranormal books but I wish this one had a little more of a romance between Kate and Curran. There is potential and this may happen in the next book but it left me wanting some sort of romance. I like that Kate is kickass and that she doesn't take shit from anyone. Curran is also an Alpha male and I just want him to grab her and make her his. Overall this is a really unique concept for a book and I did enjoy listening to it. There are a lot of twists to the story. Good start to a series and I am sure as it goes along I will get more familiar with the characters. Remember this is not an easy listen while you do laundry or make dinner. I had to rewind a few times to say hey who was that guy again? Is he good or bad? Overall I will continue to read the series.
Loved this book! Again I have to say that it is similar to the book Thoughtless only different storyline. The characters in the book will draw you in. There is action, suspense and fun. You will laugh and cry but will enjoy it all. You will be conflicted between loving and hating Ben and who you want to win, River or Ben. You will not be disappointed in this story. There are lots of little sub plots and you can see how spin off books could be a possibility. The narration was awesome. I have no negatives other than I want more from this author. You will not regret spending the credit.
I enjoyed this new series. I think the concept behind this series was really great. There were some parts that seemed to miss important details but overall this was a good listen. I really liked the tension between Ellie and Fury. It is intense and there were a few good plot twists. I think that there is a lot of potential for future stories. I will be continuing with this series because I think it could be very good. There was so much information to map out in the first book that I think the next book can only get better. You have to like the Sci-fi spin to enjoy this book. I think it is a good solid listen.
