"Very enjoyable mystery with a slight bit of magic"
The story was very entertaining and I'm a sucker for a story that has an animal as part of the story (Stacy's pet dog). Not only was it comical in places, but it had a good mystery at the heart of the story. Her family provided several laugh out loud moments and added to the story. This was a cleverly written who-done-it, without getting bogged down in the details. It was a very easy listen and the narrator was very good. I look forward to the other two books in the series.
I really liked Stacy's character and her relationship with her dog and family. Even though she was a witch, that was not the main focus of the story. She is a very normal type of person who just happens to have magical abilities and a dysfunctional family.
If you are looking for a lighthearted, fun mystery with several quirky characters and a strong female lead character who is very likeable, then this is the story for you.
"Enjoyable"
didn't read the print, but really enjoyed the audio version
Waverly, she always got herself into a situation and how she got out of it or what she did as a result of it made me laugh out loud a few times. Her honey do notes were an additional source of entertainment.
this was a very fun book and halfway through listening to it i had to go out and get the rest of the series. it is a very lighthearted romantic comedy that had very likeable characters and some characters that we have all encountered in our lives and prejudged just to find out they weren't really what we had made them out to be. if you are looking for a quick read that causes you to have some laugh out loud moments all tied up into a romance, then this is the book for you.
"Not just for kids"
I love these books. They are pure fun and can be enjoyed by adults too. They are brought to life by L. J. Ganser who does a wonderful job creating so many different characters that you know who the character is as soon as you hear their "voice". Each book contains a mystery that needs to be solved while furthering along an overall story of the Sisters Grimm. There were many laugh out loud moments that are signature to this series, and the idea of bringing together so many fairy tale characters from my youth and weaving a series of entertaining stories involving them all is really brilliantly done.
all the voices and accents. he pulls you into the story from the first sentence.
yes, and i wanted to listen to it again and i will.
i recommend this series to anyone looking for an entertaining, lighthearted escape from their everyday life.
"good suspense novel"
didn't read the print version, but really enjoyed the audio version, the narrator really brought the book to life.
he brought the story to life and i was so mesmerized that i was completely absorbed into the story.
i liked this book so well i will be checking out some of his other books.
"Turns out the twin really is evil."
not knowing for sure who was friend or foe.
the dialogue. i liked getting both emma's perspective and then sutton's thoughts and how she felt looking back on her life.
toss up between emma and sutton as they both played sutton
being mistaken for a rich, beautiful girl who has it all is every girl's dream. too bad she was the queen of mean, appears to be dead and i might be next.
very enjoyable story. it continuously keeps you guessing.
