LAPD Detective Harry Bosch tackles three tough cases that span a legendary career in this never-before-collected trio of stories. Utterly unputdownable, they are proof that "Connelly never stops doling out the suspense.... Once it grabs you in those first few pages, it won't let go of you" (Boston Globe).

Where does Angle of Investigation rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

We enjoyed this one. It is three short stories from earlier in Bosch's career. Stories to entertain in the car while traveling.

A body has been found on the overlook near Mulholland Drive. The victim, identified as Dr. Stanley Kent, has two bullet holes in the back of his head, from what looks like an execution-style shooting. LAPD detective Harry Bosch is called out to investigate. As soon as Bosch begins retracing Dr. Kent's steps, contradictions emerge. While Kent doesn't seem to have had ties to organized crime, he did have access to dangerous radioactive substances from just about every hospital in Los Angeles County.

What made the experience of listening to The Overlook: Harry Bosch Series, Book 13 the most enjoyable?

The same actor seems to read all of his books, and you begin to feel that this is the voice of the author or even Harry Bosch himself. We enjoy Connelly's story telling style.

Who was your favorite character and why?

All of his characters are well developed.

    Any additional comments?

I'm finding that Connelly doesn't always completely trust his reader, and he does over explain some obvious things from time to time. But then we may be more knowledgeable listeners and a novice might need that detail. All-and-all a very enjoyable listen.
