Not unless it was abridged.
Nothing. He is a researcher and author but not an actor.
I haven't finished it. It is great information but too many unnecessary details.
I found the town and the way of life interesting. The descriptions were wonderful.
It was way too long. I assume it was originally published as newspaper series.
I knew very little about Bolivar and this was enlightening. The man seemed to spend his life in battle and in bed. The battles got boring. Interesting insights at the end were helpful in understanding the continuing dictator problems in South America.
Apparently there is no audible editor for Bill. He spent too much time in religious school and not enough time at the dictionary. He refers to the part of the military using horses as the Calvary EVERY TIME. I liked the sidelights to history that this story provided but the reader's problems with the language were disturbing.
The details of the construction of the fair are interesting with the famous characters involved. The fact of the murderer lurking makes it all the more entertaining.
This story made me want to get "The Good Earth". Is was a fast moving tour of China in the early 20th century. The characters were very believable.
Probably not another by this arthor.
There are many other better and probably more accurate stories about this time in history.
For instance: Uncle Tom's Cabin
He is a wonderful narrator. His many voices are amazing.
This book is gossipy and exciting.
Learning so much about the reservation culture.
The way several stories were woven together.
The narrator was meant to sound like an indian and he did but his voice got a little boring and it would have been nice if a female actor could be used to speak the women's parts.
All the characters were wonderfully done with great accents. Elizabeth McGovern is a wonderful actress. I especially liked her Kansas accent.
