While my favorite audio books are Holter Gram's audio rendition of the Alpha and Omega series, this audio book comes close behind those.
I love Mercy Thompson. She is a wonderful main character who does the right thing even though she knows it will likely place her in a situation she would prefer to avoid (getting back involved with the wolves).
I think Lorelei King's voice was excellent for Mercy Thompson and her thoughts.
I enjoyed listening to this book as I walked over a series of days.
Joey W Hill is one of my favorite authors so I was delighted to learn that her books were coming out in audio. I would recommend any Joey book to erotic romance readers who enjoy reading story lines with BDSM themes.
This particular book is the start of one of Joey's very popular series, Knights of the Boardroom. It tells the story of Savannah, the CEO of a manufacturing company and Matt (and his leadership team), her business partner and CEO of Kensington Industries. Matt is determined to get Savannah to accept that he is the one for her and he uses all the talents and skills his team has available to press the point home one very eventful night.
G.C VonCloudts did a wonderful job. Her interpretation helped me reinterpret some scenes that had bothered me when I first read the book. I will be more inclined to buy an audio book if she is the narrator for it.
The story was wonderful and I love Mercy, Adam, Asil, Ben (actually all the pack we got to see) and Stephen.
The one thing I really wish would have been better was the accent Ms King used for Asil. It sounded more Dracula like than Spanish to me (her accent for Stephen and Marsila also sounds more Dracula than Italian, but since they are vampires, it made sense to me). Other than that complaint, I think the narration was very well done.
I love seeing the emotional journey Jin experiences as he comes to realize how much he trusts and loves Logan.
I was so disappointed in the narration. There were inflections that made no sense, pauses in the middle of sentences that had no purpose and no changes in voice or tone to accommodate the different characters.
This is one of my favorite audiobooks.
I love the characters of Charles and Anna. Seeing their relationship develop as they deal with the pack was very enjoyable.
I think my favorite scene was either the one at the Greek restaurant or after they go back to the apartment after the restaurant and Charles is in wolf form to try to heal the bullet wound.
Cry Wolf is an excellent story. Patricia Briggs' book is well written and the characters are very well drawn. The audio book was beautifully done to match the book itself. Holter Graham's did a wonderful job of portraying each character so well and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Charles, of course, cause he's Charles but Anna and Bran were really close seconds.
I have listened to Holter Graham's Fair Game and Hunting Ground also and I think he did an excellent job in all three.
