What did you like best about this story?

McCammon is one of my favorite authors, and his M.C novels are wonderful.

Have you listened to any of Edoardo Ballerini’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I love this narrator both my husband and I thought he did a great job, I would buy a book just for this narrator

"Ninety-five days, and then I'll be safe. I wonder whether the procedure will hurt. I want to get it over with. It's hard to be patient. It's hard not to be afraid while I'm still uncured, though so far the deliria hasn't touched me yet. Still, I worry. They say that in the old days, love drove people to madness. The deadliest of all deadly things: It kills you both when you have it and when you don't."

How could the performance have been better?

I didn't care for the narrator, her attempt at a male voice was comical, and sometimes it sounded as if it were the voice of someone of low intelligence. I think I would have enjoyed this story more with a better narrator or if I just read it myself, as is I couldn’t even get through it, due to the narrators voice grating on my nerves.
