  • Still Life with Crows: A Novel

    • UNABRIDGED (16 hrs)
    • By Douglas Preston, Lincoln Child
    • Narrated By Scott Brick
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

For the first time in unabridged audio! A small Kansas town has turned into a killing ground. Is it a serial killer, a man with the need to destroy? Or is it a darker force, a curse upon the land? Amid golden cornfields, FBI Special Agent Pendergast discovers evil in the blood of America's heart.

    Polly says: "SCARY, WEIRD, ENGAGING"
    "Amazing setting! Amazing characters! Brilliant!"
What made the experience of listening to Still Life with Crows the most enjoyable?

I love Pendergast's eccentricity. There's an amazing contrast between the small towns normalcy, and his striking weirdness. Even when there's not immediate nail biting action going on in the story, which there often is, you are entranced by the small town and Pendergast.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Still Life with Crows?

One of the coolest parts is... the whole story.

Which character – as performed by Scott Brick – was your favorite?

Scott Brick did an amazing job playing Pendergast. He makes him seem like the most sophisticated, but humble man in the world

    Any additional comments?

Dude, gave me a love for suspense.

  • Spin

    • UNABRIDGED (17 hrs and 33 mins)
    • By Robert Charles Wilson
    • Narrated By Scott Brick

One night when he was 10, Tyler stood in his backyard and watched the stars go out. They flared into brilliance, then disappeared, replaced by an empty black barrier. He and his best friends, Jason and Diane Lawton, had seen what became known as the Big Blackout. It would shape their lives.

    Robert says: "A Classic"
"One of the Greatest Books I Have Ever Read."
Would you consider the audio edition of Spin to be better than the print version?

YES. Definitely. This was the first audiobook I listened to narrated by Scott Brick. Afterwards I became addicted to Scott Bricks narration. I will always remember parts of this book.

What other book might you compare Spin to and why?

It doesn't really compare to other books. It's that good, but if you want a book that takes your mind out of reality and puts you into a mysterious Earth, where events unfold that makes you want to know more. Just seriously, try this book if you like science fiction.

What does Scott Brick bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He makes you feel...wistful, and a little sad. It's really...addicting. He makes you slightly emotional. You'll remember the characters of this book forever.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Advanced beings turn the stars off.

    Any additional comments?

Some of the greatest feelings can't really be put into words without writing a book. This book is that way. I just don't have the ability to explain how good this book is in words.
