I love listening to the actual celebrity's voice telling the story of their life. Corey told the story of his life very well and kept my interest to the point where I couldn't wait to get back in the car and listen more. He even imitated Michael Jackson, Corey Haim, his wife, and others very well. Really enjoyed this book.
I liked hearing about the ups and downs of his life...how he would find himself successful one minute and the next down and out. I loved how he never gave up.
This is the first work of Corey Feldman that I have listed to.
I feel like I know Corey Feldman and I guess that's the point of the book. After it was over, I wanted more.
This was a fascinating book about a mainstream cult that nobody seems to be investigating. I can hardly believe this takes place in our own backyard. As soon as I finished reading this book, I couldn't help but seek out Mike Rinder's blog and look at You Tube videos of crazy scientologists. Opened my eyes about the seedy underbelly of Scientology. By the end of the book, you're really rooting for Jenna and her husband to turn on the church and get out of there. Really good listen.
No, I would not...the simple fact is that there is nothing interesting here. It could have been about my neighbor down the street, or the guy who runs the hardware store. "I went to school, got a job, had some drama, and everybody ends up to be my lifelong friend". I love auto biography's and have listed to or read many. What makes them interesting is the unusual and fascinating lives some people live. Unfortunately, Jenny's book is a swing and a miss. I'm about halfway through the book and haven't gotten to her divorces yet, but I'm sure it'll be no different than the 50 people I know who got divorce...no more drama than anyone else. I'll finish the book, if I can get through it, and update my comments if needed. As other comments have indicated, it's obvious she doesn't want to offend anyone or step on anyone's toes, and the result, a boring book.
I would have hoped she would be a little more honest. Give us the real dirt while growing up as a Hollywood star. If Jenny was as honest as she could be (which I'll never know for sure), then maybe nothing that exciting happened to her.
