I can't believe this book was actually written by the same Sandra Brown that I have enjoyed for many years. I have listened to most of her novels but this one is a "bust". Her main character, disguised as a Detective Sargeant, is so utterly lacking in skills as a law enforcement officer that it was laughable.The rest of the charactors are equally frustrating, stupid, and unbelieveable. I know that fiction is fiction but this was ridiculously presented as a romantic/thriller/mystery, etc. and came off looking like a quickie novel with very little thought put into it. I actually gave some thought to abandoning this book half way through but continued on hoping it would redeem itself......didn't happen. Take a pass on this one and I'm sorry I didn't.

This is the first one of Susan Elizabeth Phillips novels that I have not enjoyed. The story was disjointed and the characters were unlikable. If you want to start reading her novels "DEFINITELY" don't start with this one. All the rest of her novels are more then worth the time and book credits. An excellent choice would be "Dream a Little Dream". Very..........Heart warming!

As much as I enjoy Hoags novels this one fell flat because of the narration. The narrators attempt at the "Russian" accents was nothing short of horrible and ruined the listening experience. I even gave some thought to quiting the book but hung in there for the duration. The narration makes all the difference in the world.......you might consider buying the book instead of downloading it. As for the novel itself it would have scored much higher with a different narrator.

This book hooked me from the first sentence and kept me there until the end. Fast paced, suspenceful, and I didn't want it to end. I'm sure there must be a sequel in the near future because this story must go on!

I throughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Since finishing it I have found myself reflecting back on the story, several times, and remarked to myself how much I loved the story. Jodi Picoult is a master at weaving an intricate story. You have to stay on your toes and pay close attention to the many characters that are in the book but it all comes together in the end.

Huge disappointment compared to the other Shane Scully books. I expected more from Stephen Cannell. I used a credit, and bought this book, because of the previous Shane Scully novels but won't make that mistake again. With the next book in the series I'll wait a few months until some of the reviews roll in and then will decide if his book is worth it. This book is so "out there" it became laughable and it was an insult to my intelligence. The only good thing about the book was Scott Brick's narration.......he could read the phone book and make it sound interesting!

I bought this book, because of the reviews, and I wasn't disappointed! I really can't add much other then to say that it'll make you laugh, cry and reward you with an outstanding ending!!

Another great book from Jodi Picoult. I was especially pleased to learn about the Amish religion and traditions which made the book even more interesting to listen to. I put 2+2 together and figured out the end about 2/3rd's of the way through. The narration was so-so....would have been a better listen had they used a man for the male voices. I still recommend this book....you won't be disappointed.

I was fully cognizant, when I purchased this audio book, that it was a work of fiction but it was so real it was scary. Can't help but feel that this is going on in the world as I type. Makes me more aware of the political tug-of-war that goes on between the CIA & FBI and the "no sharing information" rule.
