It is very long. It takes forever to get to a point of interest. There's very little suspense or conflict in the story.
Cormac McCarthy is an excellent writer. However, this story was very weak. There was really no story, just a bunch a individual unconnected events. If the same story had been written by a different writer it would likely have not been published. Overall, I'm very disappointed.
The narration was good. Most of the book was about the training, selection process, and past missions the the author, but it was interesting to hear the actual events of the raid.
Not Banks best work, but definitely entertaining. The narrator does a good job with different voices so it's easier to distinguish the characters.
Good overall. A little predictable at most parts. But a good teen book. I'll have to watch the movie.
