    What did you like about this audiobook?

    The reader is truly excellent. I read book two (rather than listenning to it) and it was simply not as good. The plot is original. I was entranced. hard to put down is the only problem.

    Now i'm hanging out for book 3 (day 3) which appears is not yet written - gutted when i realised this.

    Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

    Yes. its truly original and gets you thinking about a lot. If you can listen to the first 3.5 hours of narrative and the authors agenda on zoos and religion (which is interesting but not what you bought the book to hear about) it raises the opportunity for all sorts of thoughts and musings. then the journey itself is both harrowing and inspiring.

    Would have rated it a lot higher if the first 3.5 hours were cut back to 45 minutes and if there were a lot more of an epilogue or follow through of Pi's transition back to the inhabited world and how he created his life from there.


    Who was your favorite character and why?

    Pi of course. the only real character that is developed.


    Which scene was your favorite?

    imagining the island was like exploring a whole new world.


    If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    I will but not sure i need to see it on the big screen. i cant imagine how they cover the first 3 1/2 hours - hopefully movie goes can avoid this.

    Would you be willing to try another book from Jeaniene Frost? Why or why not?

    Yes, its a refreshing concept and interesting to see how it plays out. Not a lot new though, i'm on the 3rd book now, waiting for something original - some more depth or growth in the characters or an interesting twist would be great.


    Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Tavia Gilbert?

    Anyone that can do a less annoying british accent for Bones's characer

    It feels like a whole lot of talking without a lot of insight. i've had a hard time getting into it, perhaps it will get better if i can persevere

    a change in tempo to signal changes in aspect/approach may have helped.

    You want to know how the saga ends, so its worth a read/listen but its not as satisfying as the other two books


    How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

    Have some more light moments, create moments of enjoyment amongst the strain and chaos to lift it. introduce another Cinna - a likeable ally.


    How could the performance have been better?

    the narrator's voice annoys me - i dont think it captures the characters at all


    Could you see Mockingjay being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

    Definitely. Amanda Peet would work in this role i think.

    Great to see the progression of the story. More action and introduction to a whole new world/arena.


    Any additional comments?

    Not a big fan of the narrator's voice and style unfortunately but it doesnt take away hugely from the adventure/story.
