Nurse and avid backpacker Aimee Donovan is offered the opportunity of a lifetime. She encounters a patient who tells her he can send her two hundred years into the past to spend three months in the rugged Yellowstone wilderness at the dawn of the mountain man era. The only requirement: she cannot tell anyone that she's from the future.

I read started this series because I really enjoyed another of Peggy Henderson's time travel romances. This series is set in Yellowstone which is treated as one of the characters in the story. The author has a great fondness, and familiarity with the park and it makes the location come alive.

I admit this wasn't one of my favorite narrators, and at times her reading really fumbled especially attempting a french accent. But the story was engaging and I couldn't stop listening.

I'm looking forward to more books in the series...just hoping a different narrator reads them, but I will listen regardless.

When Nina Linden is hired to landscape a private island off the New England coast, she sees it as her chance to rebuild her failing business after being cheated by her unscrupulous ex. She never expects that her new client, software mogul Deacon Whitney, would see more in her than just a talented gardener. Deacon has paid top dollar to the crews he’s hired to renovate the desolate Whitney estate - he had to, because the bumps, thumps, and unexplained sightings of ghostly figures in 19th-century dress are driving workers away faster than he can say “Boo.”

I adore Molly Harper's stories, and Amanda Ronconi narrating them! I pre-ordered this one, and couldn't wait to listen. I admit it wasn't laugh out loud funny like the Nice Girl series, but I had a consistent happy buzz throughout the listen. It has been about a month, and I decided to listen to it again (I'm a repeat offender on all of Molly's books). I enjoyed it even more the 2nd time around. I'm not exactly sure why, if because the mystery was solved and therefore I was able to sit back and enjoy all the characters and the nuances of the story or if some of my expectations were out of the way. But for whatever reason, it was great and I decided I'd write a quick review. Again, it's different from the Jane clan..but they can't all be Jane! It's got interesting characters, good chemistry, spooky vibes and some great lines. Looking forward to what Molly cooks up next!

P.I. Harry Lonnigan wasn't fooled by her disguise. The waif dressed as a boy, who was about to blow his cover and maybe get herself killed, was every inch a woman. His first priority should have been reuniting Charlie with her estranged father, but her first priority was to seduce Harry, and before Harry knew it, he was in too deep.

I found this book because I was looking for other stories narrated by Amanda Ronconi, whom I adore as a narrator. She does not disappoint with this book. She isn't working with the snarky wit of Molly Harper here, and I admit this is a different style with Lori Foster. The book is an older one, and based on even older screwball comedies. If you are looking for something intense and serious....keep looking. This is light, fun, and some sexy. Amanda did an incredible job bringing two very different characters to life. Listening to a book read by Amanda is more like listening to a radio play. She is awesome.

These first two chapters definitely make me want to hear the rest of the book. It has interesting characters, a mystery, and some very fun potential relationship antics brewing!

Reformed art forger Tilda Goodnight reluctantly joins forces with semi-reformed con man Davy Dempsey. They want to steal a dubious painting and several million embezzled dollars from a lethal widow named Clea, who has targeted a mild-mannered art collector as her next dearly departed. Complications include her sister, the female impersonator; his best friend, the reformed cat burglar; a recidivist embezzler named Rabbit; a hit man; some lousy sex; and a juke box.

I saw the other review, and realized I had to put in my two cents. I love this book. I've listened to it numerous time. But I LOVE Jennifer Crusie's writing style in general..the snark, sarcasm, the fast pace, the almost non-linear, border line nonsensical-ness of it all! I mean you have drag queens, art forgery, con men, and hit men all wrapped into one...it's going to be a wild ride (which is another great book). I love Tilda and Davey, the whole caper reminds me of the 40s screwball comdies...and well, a little bit like my nutty family. That said, I thought the narrator did a great job on the varying voices and especially the crazy fast pace. Makes me want to listen again!

I'd be hard pressed to actually recommend this title. I really wanted to like it, I think the author has some talent but the character development was pretty weak and the "conflict" that faced the H/H was lame at best. At one point I was so over the Heroine I didn't care if she got her HEA. I like the narrator a lot, which is why I decided to get the title even though I hadn't heard of the author. Xe does a great job with the various characters, and I may try another title to see if the author does a better job with the next storyline.

I chose this title because I have always enjoyed the narrator, Natalie Ross and it was relatively inexpensive with my member discount. What a wonderful surprise! I have a new author to explore all of her other works. Kim Law has written an intelligent, charming, funny, and moving story about Andi and Mark set in a fictional place I wish was real, Turtle Island. I want to live there too!
This story moves the two main characters past something that seems impossible to get past, but she does so believably. Perhaps it was that I related a lot to the main character or at least how she handles conflict, but I really felt it was realistic (something you don't always find in a romance novel).
This book had me laughing out loud at times, holding my breath during a few pretty steamy scenes and ultimately sighing with contentment.
Great book, highly recommend it! Looking forward to checking out the next book in the series as well as the author's earlier series!

The anticipated follow up to Molly Harper's My Bluegrass Baby, which followed Sadie Hawkins as she jockeyed for the director's position at the Kentucky Tourism Commission with a sophisticated and handsome challenger.

My only complaint is the length of the book...I didn't want it to end! This was another laugh out loud funny by the awesome Molly Harper, narrated to perfection by Amanda Ronconi!
I am a huge fan of Molly's supernatural series - the vamps and the werewolves, but these dips into Kentucky, bluegrass, rednecks and the tourism board have been delightful.

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Charlaine Harris has won numerous awards for her Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire series, which has been adapted into the hit HBO show True Blood. In this 13th and final book, a murder rocks the town of Bon Temps and Sookie is arrested for the crime. After making bail, she sets out to clear her name - but her investigation only leads to more deaths.

Wow...what a journey it has been. Sookie...you will be missed, especially as read by Miss Johanna Parker who has done such an incredible job bringing her and all the crazy characters of BonTemps to life all these years.
I was not disappointed by the ending. I felt like the last several books have been preparing us readers for what happens in this book. I think people who just really wanted to see a SPECIFIC HEA with a certain love interest are hollering about being disappointed. Which I really feel is too bad, and unfair. If you stop and see who Sookie is, what she loves, what she hopes for and dreams to have one day...what transpires makes sense.
Ms. Harris had a lot to cover in this book, and a lot of characters were brought in that have touched Sookie's life over the years. She handles it with aplumb. Again, people have complained about mundane details...but those little snippets of ordinary life have always been a part of the series, as much as some amazing sex and unforgettable get out of a jam sequences! It was all there for book number 13. Not sure it was lucky 13... there are probably other books that will remain my personal favorite but it is for varying reasons.
But overall, I thought this was a good book. I listened to it almost straight through. Partially, because I wanted to know HOW it all ended, but also I was caught up in the story. Thanks Charlaine!!

Great listen! Julia Whelan does an incredible job with the many voices in the story, not the least is which is the age difference that is covered by the main character.
I had hesitated on this book for awhile, uncertain that it would be engaging AND entertaining. The subject matter seemed a bit bleak. But the characters are engaging and often entertaining. Nora Roberts has done a masterful job of balancing our very intelligent and logical heroine with a cast of characters that help her find her emotions and heart. Again, this is an excellent story with a superb narrator!
