Chillers for thriller fans! A Special Edition of The Audio Archive, spotlighting both the Inner Sanctum Mysteries program and Boris Karloff starring in "The Tell Tale Heart".

Inner Sanctum Mysteries featured one of the most memorable and atmospheric openings in radio history: an organist hit a dissonant chord, a doorknob turned, and the famous "creaking door" slowly began to open.

Zombies stalk the night. Forget blood and brains. These monsters hunger for human souls. Sadly, they've got mine. Alice Bell has lost so much. Family. Friends. A home. She thought she had nothing else to give. She was wrong. After a new zombie attack, strange things begin to happen to her. Mirrors come to life, and the whispers of the dead assault her ears. But the worst?

I was disappointed with this one big time. I don't want to read about teen romance and "spirit" zombies! It seems that's what it's all about. It's rediculous even in wonderland! I'm mad as a hatter for zombie lunacy but this just doesn't do anything for me.

Stephen King returns to the characters and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining) and the very special 12-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals. This is an epic war between good and evil, a gory, glorious story that will thrill the millions of hyper-devoted fans of The Shining and wildly satisfy anyone new to the territory of this icon in the King canon.

Yes it takes off well almost continuing from where The Shining left off..but I lost interest within the first few hours. I did not listen to the rest and maybe I'm jumping the gun here, but it's just not grabbing my attention. I am a die hard King fan and always will be, but this one fell short of his talents. Disappointing.

Fiver could sense danger. Something terrible was going to happen to the warren; he felt sure of it. They had to leave immediately. So begins a long and perilous journey of survival for a small band of rabbits. As the rabbits skirt danger at every turn, we become acquainted with the band, its humorous characters, and its compelling culture, complete with its own folk history and mythos.

No matter what words I choose here now, in no way can they describe how much I adore Watership Down. Not only is this audiobook perfectly written, but as Ralph Cosham narrates, the characters come to life! You can literally feel their emotions. I must say, with no exaggeration, I have chosen Watership Down as my all-time favorite for life. My daily life is dedicated to caring for animals, and this has enlightened me so much more about them! I have now incorporated the Lapine language into my day to day lifestyle as well. I sincerely love rabbits very much (and ALL animals of course!) A thousand thanks dear Richard Adams for the creation of such a masterpiece, your two darling daughters, Juliet and Rosamund who encouraged you to write it down and a thousand more to dear Ralph Cosham for bringing these precious and wonderful characters to life!

This will always be one of my favorite stories. Overall the audio, the effects & narrarators were good..with only one exception..I just think Alices's voice should've been a younger one. Joan Greenwood (Alice) sounds just like Bette Davis! Whom I ADORE by the way..but DEF NOT for the voice of Alice.

In a sleepy, coastal, New England town, three men decide to rob and if need be torture a very old sea captain to learn where he keeps his wealth - a man who is so old no one ever remembers him being young; a man who pays for his purchases not with dollars, but with ancient gold and silver coins minted over two centuries ago; a man who speaks to spirits in bottles; a man who may not be a man at all.

This story is very interesting and I enjoyed it very much. K. Anderson Yancy is an AWEsome narrator & his voice is absolutely perfect for my favorite genre. The rest of the Sonic Performers are corny. Mr. Yancy stands alone, basking within his own perfection.
