The author discusses the law of supply and demand and other basic economic laws. It is mildly interesting, but nothing out of the ordinary. The author is obviously a fierce capitalist, but really does not give other points of view a fair review.
fast moving story with lots of drugs, sex, crime and swearing is amusing for a short period of time, but then become tedious and repetitious.
No real plot involved. The basic same story is told over and over again, from restaurant to restaurant. As he notes at the end Anthony Bourdain seems to prefer chaos and dysfunction in his life. I seems like he is churning out the book chapter after chapter simply to make a buck.
It is hard to imagine that the Federal government is going to rehabilitate a cold blooded murderer by sending them to medical school. As a physician I can tell you that a number of the medical events that take place during the course of the book are very unlikely. If you don't care about this, then it is an entertaining story.
