"GREAT ROMANCE STORY!"
Yes, the audio edition is WAY better than the print version. Listening to the narrator's version of the books keeps you on edge and makes you want to listen further.
My favorite scene is when Pia finds out what she transforms in to.
The Hot Dragon Chase
I fell in love with this series after listening to this first book! It's a very good story and worth the credit. If you like paranormal romance this is the book for you.
"Great Performance by Robert Petkoff As Always!"
I love, love, love Robert Petkoff's narrations of the IAD series. Love the accents, the life he puts into the character, etc. The Kiss of the Demon king story is a continuation of Dark Desires After Dusk which follows Cadeon's brother Rydstrom Woede and Sabine (love the names by the way). If you haven't listened to the Dark Desires After Dusk first, then you'll be lost with this book. Sabine's character puts herself so high on a pedestal, it's hilarious to listen to. Love the story about demons and sorceri, but I can't wait to get to the other books back to the Valkyries and Vampires. Keep them coming KC and RP! Love this series!
"Great Modern Love Story..."
This is a continuation of "On Dublin Street" by Samantha Young. This steamy love story takes place between Johanna and Cameron. The odds are against them at first as they come off on the wrong foot by insulting each other because of their assumed bad reputations and personalities. I couldn't wait for the tension to be cut between the 2 and when it finally does, it gets dreamy and steamy. Good love modern love story with tons of drama thrown in. It was not as good as "On Dublin Street" but it was worth the credit.
"Historical Highland Romance at it's Finest!"
This is a great highland romance story. I couldn't put my headphones down! The story is nice and lengthly how I like it and it gives a great story about a young lass who defies all odds and falls in love with a highland laird. The highland laird Brodick has a reputation of being strong and fearless but when he falls in love, there's true passionate feelings and does anything in his power to protect what's his. Brodick has met his match of Gillian who is also strong and fearless. In a nutshell, both of them go after the bad guy and like I said, defies all odds by not being killed by the enemy. Great story! Worth the credit.
"Great Continuation of the Series..."
This is a great continuation of the series to the Montgomery and Armstrongs. If you haven't listened to the 1st book, I highly recommend it before listening to this one. You'll get a better background of the characters. So as this series contines on, we find an imprisoned lass from the evil Ian McHugh who is rescued from a lifetime of sin by Bowen Montgomery. She is ashamed of herself that Ian imprisioned her for a year and was taken advantage of. She's assured in her mind that her future lies in living in a convent for the rest of her life and that no one would want a lass that has a bad reputation. But low and behold, Bowen comes into the McHugh keep and stirs things up. You're left with a fairy tale ending and a good highland love story. Definately worth the credit if you enjoyed the first book...I can't wait for more stories to come. Good author and narrator.
"Book Kept Me Smiling Throughout..."
When I first started listening to this, I took a 2nd look around to make sure I wasn't being gawked at by unwanted attention. I had to make sure my headphones were secure and didn't become loosen from my iPhone because if it did my speakers would've kicked in and people would've heard the moaning and groaning of the narrator describing all the wall banging going on. This is a good story that kept me smiling throughout the listen. After all of the drama settles, you're left with 2 likable characters with a happy ending...literally.
"Another Good Highland Story..."
This was a different story from some of the Highland stories I'm use to. In this story an English lady is forced to marry a Highland Laird and visa versa. I was refreshed to hear that this English lady was not all prime and fluff. She actually did work around her household and hunted which made her a talented and outspoken lady. They made fun of her name being Jamie (which is a man's name in Scotland) which repeated over and over again and was not really funny, but overall the book was well written and narrated.
"Eh, it was alright..."
I was first interested in this story by the well written description of the book and I was looking forward to listening to this book since it's been in my Wish List for a while. The book starts off very good with a typical forbidden love story of a lady that falls in love with stable boy and of course they can't be together because of their social class. He then gets sent away by her father after their snuggle session was witnessed and they're forced apart. When he comes back years later, they fall in love again. However, (now here's the lame part), she doesn't give her full heart to him because she is now superficially damaged. I can't believe she'd rather spend the rest of her life as a spinster because she has a few scars on her legs and she's embarrased to show him. Instead she lets him go AGAIN, without a fight, and he promises to leave for good if she doesn't marry him. Luckily, it all works out at the end, but come on! Talk about shallow sense of worth if she thinks he's better off alone rather than tell him she has a couple of scars. That part was LAME!
Worth the credit? Eh, probably not, since I told you most of the story but I'll leave it up to you. I bought this on sale luckily so it saved me the credit.
"Sweet Romantic Story"
The story is well written and narrated. I skipped the 2nd book because I didn't like Violet's sister in the 1st book and didn't care to hear her romantic story. But after listening to book 1, I was definitely curious as to how Violet's friend Eliza would fare after being raised as a timid wall flower in search of a husband. Eliza soon finds her wings and confidence when she gets a makeover by Violet and Kit. It's a cute story and worth the credit.
"Good Story but I Had Little Patience..."
This was a great love story on how 2 people came together in a special circumstance. I love how Izzy is a strong willed character that doesn't mind sticking up for herself when it comes to her family. However, when it comes sticking up to her lover/husband, she really doesn't get around to it until the end. When listening to this story, I wish the characters would just stop and sit down to talk about their situations instead of avoiding each other and secretly wishing they could explain their point of views. Instead, they're longing for each other from a distance, stewing over their situations, and then regretting the actions they take. Arrrh, I just want to scream..."get to the point already and explain yourself to each other!" So if you have patience (like I don't), then you'll enjoy the listen. Just take time out of your day to do it.
"Very Funny Highlanders!"
I love books with romance, humor, and sexy highlander lairds and this book has all of that. I read the reviews on the narrator being awful, but I disagree. It can get a little annoying listening to the male character's voices at times when the male characters start yelling in outrage but the story is wonderful. I couldn't stop smiling to myself while listening to this book because there is a lot of humorous moments in there. I wish the story was longer with a better ending but it's definitely worth the credit.
