Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

The Help is a wonderfully well-written story, and this is a beautifully told version of it. These voice talents really make the story pop.

A Civil War sword, a watermelon stabbing, missing roller skates, a trapeze artist's inheritance and an eyewitness who's legally blind! Encyclopedia Brown must solve cases by using his famous computer-like brain. Try to crack the cases along with him!

    Story

I enjoyed reading Encyclopedia Brown when I was in elementary school, and now my daughter does too. This audio version allows us to match wits on car trips. Each story is short, so even if we're just headed to the grocery store, we can usually get one in.

I just wish they'd offer more of these books on Audible!
