"Liked it exceedingly !"
I liked it indeed, exceedingly.Jane Austen never fails me and neither did the narrator.
Thank you Audible.

"Nicely narrated, sappy ,half researched thriller."
It's terribly close to a "Penny Novel" ...the ones you can buy at Gelson's in the Magazine Section. So...elderly, lonely ladies I guess.
Better research and much, much, much less repetitions and explanations about things he'd just clearly explained.
He has a nice voice.
The book starts out promising and completely deteriorates in the second half. Totally murky message too. Oh well... nice narration it was.
"Not terrible, a little scrambled ,angry reader."
Yeah, I think I get his point... kind of. I don't think he knows what he wants to say either, he has a feeling and he's angry. Some people say he is a great force for good in this land and one should include him in ones studies alongside Hitchens and Dawkins ... they just often flatten him entirely in the writings ( Hitchens and Dawkins who are also the people he addresses directly in his writings ), in the logic and even in the narration.
That all being said, I can share that feeling he has that we might want to keep god in the picture as another word for compassion and the uniting spirit... see what I mean, I'm trying to narrow it down and it can't be narrowed down, it's quite a mess of a book.
"Writing okay, stilted narration."
Intellectually I can process that Hemingway was a good writer yet it all seems a little dated and boring to me ...though, it might just be the stilted narration by William Hurt that I didn't care for. He seems so vain that he has to chop up and almost mispronounce things to add his touch.
"Colin Firth is simply great as narrator."
I like Graham Green. Knowing the guy struggled a lot with bipolar disorder explains the weirdness and sometimes repetitiveness of the book but I like him well enough.
Colin Firth... I wished he'd narrates everything LOL, he is just fantastic.
"Perfect Fun and Educating !"
It's so good...and fun...and greatly narrated...and smartly, smartly written.
I thoroughly enjoyed it ! Good Job !
"This is a pre- review ..."
...because the voice of the narrator is like nails on chalkboard. I started a couple of times but had to put it away again because of the ditzish Valley Girl cadence. I never sounded even remotely like that , not with 16 or 21. Nor did my girlfriends, I mean the ones who had the slightest sense. So, no excuse for the bad narration. Being young doesn't always equal stupid.
If I can ever make my way through it, I will be back with a real review.
"My favorite Saga."
I don't have a lot to say other then, it's my favorite Saga, it has everything. I love the Narration. Well, well done !
"Horrible Narration, Pompous and Foppish !"
... I'm so speechless about the extreme low budget recording ( yes, the quality sucks as well as the the Narrator ). How did this man ever get to narrate a book that people pay money for ?! What is the " Deep Ditch Drama Group" suppose to do without their fearless leader ?
I'm actually insulted by the degree of sloppiness, clearly the director was scratched from the budget as well, who else is suppose to tell the guy that he is Pompous and Foppish to hide the fact that he has no clue what he's reading.
Please, Audible people who might fly over those oodles of angry reviews, don't let the guy near a microphone again.
