Bill Bryson is a terrific writer I have everything he has written to-date, however please use a professional reader on future books. Your voice is far too soft lacking in any emotional impact.

William Roberts was great narrating The History of Nearly Everything. Grover Gardner is another name that comes to mind.
No. The subject matter is too vast and spasmodic.
Keep the books coming Bill.
This book is a time stopper. I must have listened to it half a dozen times already. You don't need to be a physicist to understand it. Most of the material is dumbed down for the layman reader. I found this book entertaining whilst driving, even stopped my car at one point to focus and realised I was parked for nearly a hour before I resumed my journey.
Very little is left to the imagination. A well written, very detailed book. If the American Civil War is a focus of your studies or you have a deep understanding of that period then you will enjoy Foote's detailed work.If this is your first time reading American history then look at listening to 'History in an Hour' Kat Smutz before this book otherwise you will be lost like the Confederacy at Gettesberg!
Definitively adept book that covers the period 1941 to 1945
There is little left to the imagination. Mosier shows comparisons for and against strategies deployed by both Stalin and Hitler.
Mosier is great at showing both leaders attempt to get the open hand on each other politically as well as on the battlefield.
