The author tries to give an unbiased view of the struggle between Jews and Palestinians. He gives lengthy narration to interviews with the common Israeli and Palestinian. This serves to make the tittle a history of almost every act of terrorism or cited injustice since 1948. It makes the book long and tedious with many dates and an impossible amount of names to remember.

This reading was so dry I thought I was back in my high school social studies class. While I knew the story of the explorers from school I was hoping that this book would expand my understanding of the times. Sadly, this was not so. All I learned was that pepper became a commodity and a lot of people got syphilis.

A fantastic piece of historic fiction. Anyone interested in the Ancient Roman Empire will love this book. The author's painstaking detail and accuracy give an insight to this time as no other boring history book does. I didn't find all the names boring at all and the vivid descriptions of Rome at the time bring the city to life.

In typical fashion, Robert Ludlum has created a fast paced story of international intrigue. His precise descriptions help immensely in this audiobook format. What makes all of his stories worthwhile is the plausibilty that it could happen.
