Nothing new here except the marketing and repackaging of things you probably already know. Basic message: if you have clinical or "real" depression, get professional help. If you have "common" depression, change your thoughts and defeat it.
Reminds me of a "simple to build" balsa airplane I bought when I was a kid. After falling for the advertising on the box, I opened it to find instructions which said something like, "Begin by carving a fuselage from the large block of balsa wood to match this drawing." Needless to say, if I could have done that, I wouldn't have needed the kit.
If you read even a little bit of depression self help advice you won't need this kit either.
For the price this is the best hypnosis/relaxation tape I've encountered in a long time. I'm not sure exactly how or why it works, but by the end of the 31 minutes, I am entranced and pleasantly relaxed. By that I mean that it doesn't seem like Dr. Simpson does a "traditonal" induction, but rather talks through ideas and tells stories. However, it puts me into a very relaxed and suggestible state and is very enjoyable listening. As I said, it is well worth the money.
Maybe I read (or listen to) too many self help books, but I kept waiting for something I hadn't heard before. I think if someone is new to the subject, this would be an excellent primer. But the section on procrastination is quite brief. Thought Dave Allen's material is more helpful from a business perspective.
