After being murdered by a mystery assailant, navigating his way through the realm between life and death, and being brought back to the mortal world, Harry realizes that maybe death wasn’t all that bad - because he is no longer Harry Dresden, Chicago’s only professional wizard. He is now Harry Dresden, Winter Knight to Mab, the Queen of Air and Darkness. After Harry had no choice but to swear his fealty, Mab wasn’t about to let something as petty as death steal away the prize she had sought for so long.

If you could sum up Cold Days in three words, what would they be?

Thank you Jim Butcher and James Marsters (and Audible for bringing back James to narrate)! This books give us fans exactly what we want....more. It is amazing that the story goes on just as exciting and witty as it has always been. I'm ready for the next one!

Soon, Betsy becomes a participant in a power struggle between the forces of darkness. With only her friend Jessica and the hunky vampire Sinclair to help her, this new "Queen of Vampires" will have a tough time getting her afterlife straight.

    Any additional comments?

The story line is very original and that is the only reason I made it to chapter 15. I forced my self to over look the 13 year old "valley girl" mentality, but every time she got mad, "cussing like a sailor" was added. When she used the C word, I had to turn it off. I love Molly Harper and do not think I am a prude, but the combination of these things just was not entertaining to me. It is a shame because it is an interesting story.

What made the experience of listening to Furies of Calderon the most enjoyable?

The story line is wonderful, as is everything from Jim Butcher

    Any additional comments?

I love, love, love the Dresden Files and was so excited Jim Butcher has started a different series. As I said the story line is great, but it is a little hard core (rape, sodomy) for me. I am not really a girly-girl, but parts of this story made me wince...

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I loved the books when I read them 10 years ago, I was so excited to see them here I purchased them with out reading the reviews. I so regret that move, I agree with the others that the narrator is not able to capture the personality of the characters. Please review before you buy.

When the world was young and Gods still walked among their mortal children, a headstrong orphan boy set out to explore the world. Thus began the extraordinary adventures that would mold that youthful vagabond into a man, and the man into the finely honed instrument of Prophecy known to all the world as Belgarath the Sorcerer.

What disappointed you about Belgarath the Sorcerer?

I loved the book when I read them 10 years ago, I was so excited to see them here that I purchased the first 2 without reading the reviews....I have tried twice, but I just can not (believe) listen to the narrators portrayal of the characters. I am sorry to have to say this, but I want my credits back.....

With his auburn hair and lean build, Kierland Scott looks more man than lycan. But his wolf instincts are aroused by the gray-eyed Morgan Cantrell. Not because of her beauty, but because of her long-ago betrayal, a fateful choice that made their love impossible.

I thought the story line was very clever. There is nothing normal or predictable about this story. I'm ready for the next one....

She went through a divorce, a crushing depression, another failed love, and the eradication of everything she ever thought she was supposed to be. To recover from all this, Gilbert took a radical step. She got rid of her belongings, quit her job, and undertook a yearlong journey around the world, all alone. This is the absorbing chronicle of that year.
