"HIGHLY recommended"
I loved the humour, the characters and the way the series was presented. You can listen to it in episodes or as a whole, I loved the whole thing!
I think the English humour in looking at daily problems. There was a lot that could be related to for audience members of all ages and genders.
Everything, particularly David Tennant with his quirky way of speaking and singing.
"Worth the Listen"
Listening gives the chance to visualize the scenes better in your head, for me the story was made more interesting by hearing it read.
I liked the idea behind the Hunger Games. It forces the reader/listener to think about what kind of sacrifices we would have to make in a dictated world. It was a surreal combination of futuristic and also archaic worlds, depending on which 'district' the novel was set in at a particular time. Given the parameters of the story, and the way it was set up, I did note a few inconsistencies but overall a very enjoyable and interesting story.
I found her to be believable in that she spoke well using different voices for the characters, she was engaging to listen to, if a little annoying in some pronunciations.
If I had the time, yes I think I would. I certainly listened to it for hours at a time.
I loved the story so much I am now working on getting the next two. Would definitely recommend.
