Where does Deadly Forecast rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Right at the bottom. The narrator is all wrong for this book. Her voice is grating and annoying and I found it took away from the great story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Deadly Forecast?

The ending was very action packed, so I'd have to say it's one of the best parts of the story.

How could the performance have been better?

Yes. The narrator was so wrong for this book. The accent and tone were too much. I really was distracting and took away from the great story. I wish the author would consider finding a different voice in the future. I will not be buying another audiobook in this series if the same narrator continues.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and no. I had a love hate relationship with this one. Loved the story, hated the voice.

    Any additional comments?

I really cannot recommend this audiobook to anyone because of the narrator. It was such a huge problem for me. I have listened to other narrator and some were bad, but this one takes the cake. I'd tell someone to buy the book and read it manually, great story....horrible narrator.

Indy Savage is a former wild child (okay, maybe not so "former") and current used-bookstore owner. Lee Nightingale is a former bad boy and now runs a private investigation service. Toss together a quiet barista with a not-so-lawful side-business, a crazy Vietnam Vet, a pothead, a drag queen, family and friends who will not mind their own business, a few stun guns, and a bag of diamonds, and mix them all up with some shootings, a high-speed chase and car bombs exploding, then hang on for your first wild Rock Chick ride.

Would you try another book from Kristen Ashley and/or Susannah Jones?

No, I don't think I will continue with Kristen Ashley. Maybe a book voiced by Susannah Jones. The story was just not my cup of tea.

Would you be willing to try another book from Kristen Ashley? Why or why not?

No. I didn't really like the characters too much and the male characters more importantly were jerks. Kind of a turn off when you're supposed to be rooting for the female character to get with one of them.

Would you be willing to try another one of Susannah Jones’s performances?

    I might.

Was Rock Chick worth the listening time?

No. I was excited at first, but the characters became unlikable. Too overbearing, macho and controlling.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I'm not sure. I really love Amy Poehler, but this book was just too chaotic for me. There were too many voices and the stories just jumped around. I simply lost interest. Maybe this is one book that needs to actually be read in a physical form.

Has Yes Please turned you off from other books in this genre?

Sadly, yes. I was hesitant to buy this because I hadn't read too many of this genre. I will probably not listen to anymore.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I loved Amy Poehler, but the other voices just made it kind of confusing for me. I think this might a book to read, rather than listen to. Maybe if it were just Amy's voice it would have been better.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I liked the honesty of the book, but I didn't finish it. I simply could not continue. Which makes me sad. I may check it out from my library to read it again.

Fresh from a four-month stint in rehab for her "alleged" shopping addiction, Babe Walker returns home to Bel Air 10 pounds lighter (thanks to a stomach virus), having made amends (she told a counselor with bad skin she was smart) and confronted her past (after meeting her birth mother for the first time - a fashion model turned farmer lesbian). Although delighted to be home and determined to maintain her hard-won inner peace, Babe now faces a host of outside forces seemingly intent on derailing her path to positive change.

Would you try another book from Babe Walker and/or Tavia Gilbert?

I read White Girl Problems and really enjoyed it, however I just couldn't get into Psychos. So, I'm not sure if I'd try another go at Babe Walker.

What was most disappointing about Babe Walker’s story?

I couldn't even get through the entire book. I stopped listening because I just could not do it anymore.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I actually liked the narrator, so my dislike for this book had nothing to do with her.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I liked how Babe was trying to become a better person, but it still wasn't enough to hold my interest.

    Any additional comments?

I'm not really sure what the issue was with this book, I guess it just wasn't for me.

Where does You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book ranks pretty high in my audiobook collection. I have never read a book quite like this before and was surprised by how much I needed the story to continue. I was totally drawn into Joe's world.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Joe was by far the best character. Even though he was flawed, you couldn't help but feel for the guy. Hell, I related to him in a sense!

Which character – as performed by Santino Fontana – was your favorite?

I loved how he brought the character of Joe to life. Fontana is amazing! It was like listening to a movie while the images were playing in my head. The guy is THAT good.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    Not your average Joe.

    Any additional comments?

I hesitated on reading this book, but I am so glad I changed my mind. It was an amazing read! Was totally depressed when it ended....can't wait to read more from this author. It'd be great to see if the story continues down the road.

If you could sum up Skeletons in the Closet in three words, what would they be?

Real life mom. There are so many books about mothers that are out of touch, but this one is brilliant, funny with just the right amount of mystery!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Skeletons in the Closet?

I can't pick just one, but maybe if I had to it would be the "fight" scene that lands the main character in jail.

What does Suzanne Cerreta bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I thought that the accent would bug me, but it didn't. Quite the opposite actually. It actually made the character so much more endearing.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book really made me laugh, I could see so much of myself in her.

    Any additional comments?

Great book, easy listen and fun!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, but I would caution that it might drag in certain parts. It was frustrating as a listener to know what had happened and still waiting three hours for the main character to catch on.

What other book might you compare The Silent Sister to and why?

I'm not sure. It sort of reminded me a bit of the V.C. Andrews books I read as a child.

Did Susan Bennett do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Yes, I suppose. There were a few times when her voice grated. Mainly during parts where the character was becoming emotional.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Celia finally told Riley the truth about everything, that was an honest moment and rewarding as a listener. I knew what the truth was about five hours prior.

    Any additional comments?

Good book, but for me a bit predictable. Still the characters were complex and very interesting.

From Charlaine Harris, the best-selling author who created Sookie Stackhouse and her world of Bon Temps, Louisiana, comes a darker locale - populated by more strangers than friends. But then, that's how the locals prefer it. Welcome to Midnight, Texas, a town with many boarded-up windows and few full-time inhabitants, located at the crossing of Witch Light Road and Davy Road. It' s a pretty standard dried-up western town.

What made the experience of listening to Midnight Crossroad the most enjoyable?

I loved hearing all the characters speak and found them all very entertaining. I was surprised, as reviews on this book had been mixed, which is why I put off buying it. However, I really loved it.

What other book might you compare Midnight Crossroad to and why?

This book reminds me a bit of the True Blood show, not so much the books she wrote. The characters are all sorts of twisted, but still somehow likable.

    Which scene was your favorite?

I enjoyed the scene in the pawn shop where two of the characters get creative in resolving a problem for Bobo.

If you could take any character from Midnight Crossroad out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Fiji hands down! She such a riot and a witch, what's not to like?

    Any additional comments?

Honestly I really loved this book and was sad when it ended. I have to say I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. It is more comparable to the True Blood TV show, rather than the books it's based on....so, if you like the show, you might like this story.

I loved the conversations and quick wit the characters shared. Everything was pretty fast paced, but still enjoyable.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I liked Dotty, because she was kind of the third wheel in the story. She had a lot of the funnier lines too.

What does Amanda Ronconi bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I love her sarcastic tone! There are so many lines that might have fallen flat had I just read the book.

I'm not sure I'd buy a book from Brown, but I might from the narrators.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The use of technology in the story was good, however everything else was lacking.

What three words best describe the narrators’s voice?

    Engaging, emotional, entertaining.

Was Don't Try to Find Me worth the listening time?

No. I'm really sadden by this story. It was suggested to me because I liked Gone Girl, however this is nothing like it. I found it very hard to connect with the characters, and I have never known a young teenage girl to speak in such a tone as the one in this story.

    Any additional comments?

Could have been a good story, however it was weighed down by too much psycho babble. Characters are not very likable and very hard to root for.

What did you like best about Top Secret Twenty-One? What did you like least?

I have loved this series for years, but I have to admit that Stephanie and her constant yo-yo-ing between Morelli and Ranger is getting old. I loved Stephanie's relationship with her friends and family, but Morelli is really starting to bug me. I would really like to see a total shift in the story and see Stephanie officially involved with Ranger. The series needs some spice and to shake it up!

What was most disappointing about Janet Evanovich’s story?

I'm disappointed in the relationship between Morelli and Stephanie. I feel like it's just in a holding pattern and Morelli's personality has been bugging me. Again, I'd love to see Stephanie with Ranger for a while and develop that relationship.

Have you listened to any of Lorelei King’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She's great, but she can only work with what she is given.

Do you think Top Secret Twenty-One needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

If Evanovich is going to carry on the way she is, then no. However, if she is willing to change things up and put Stephanie with Ranger, then yes.

    Any additional comments?

I've loved this series, but it either needs to end,or Evanovich needs to shift gears when it comes to Stephanie's love life. I've had enough of Morelli to last a lifetime.
