    Is there anything you would change about this book?

    Interesting enough that I wasn't totally disappointed but there wasn't a lot of laugh out loud dialouge. I thought the most genuine and funny part was about the authors childhood. I wish there was a bit more of it.


    What was most disappointing about David Sedaris’s story?

    It seems a bit mean-spiritred at times.


    What does David Sedaris bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    Sedaris did a fantastic job reading. It gave the text more authenticity.


    If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    This isn't the type of book that would lend itself to a movie.

    I listened to it while I wrapped Christmas gifts. It was a present to myself and a relatively light "read".

    Would you try another book from Amor Towles and/or Rebecca Lowman?

    I was drawn to this book because I love the 1930's and I especially love Manhattan in the 1930's. If Towles was to write another book in which the time period/locale was the same I would read it.


    Would you recommend Rules of Civility to your friends? Why or why not?

    I'd recommend it to certain people.


    What does Rebecca Lowman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    The narrator did a wonderful job bringing the characters to life.


    Was Rules of Civility worth the listening time?

    Yes.

    The dialouge was snappy and smart; sometimes too much so. It sounded just a smidge unrealistic.
