While shopping for good Christmas reads, I happened upon "My Kind of Christmas" by Robyn Carr. I had just finished "Bring Me Home for Christmas" and really enjoyed that book by Robyn Carr as well. I would recommend both!
They are basically uncomplicated and very romantic. If you are in the mood to listen to a "feel good" book, then both of these will do the trick.
Therese Plummer does an excellent narration of both books.
    Definitely credit worthy!
    Enjoy and Merry Christmas!

Will was her knight in shining armor until he broke her heart after their one and only kiss. On Lilly's first day of college, she meets Brand Cole. Intrigued by Brand, Lilly must decide whether or not she can give up her adolescent fantasy of being reunited with Will and allow Brand the opportunity to conqueror her heart.

Cursed: The Watchers Trilogy, Book 1 by SJ West, was very disappointing and not worth the credit or time. I know that this sounds harsh, but the similarities to Twilight are insulting. What I mean to say, is how did West not realize that the parallels were just too obvious.
I wanted to like it...but couldn't finish it.

Indy Savage is a former wild child (okay, maybe not so "former") and current used-bookstore owner. Lee Nightingale is a former bad boy and now runs a private investigation service. Toss together a quiet barista with a not-so-lawful side-business, a crazy Vietnam Vet, a pothead, a drag queen, family and friends who will not mind their own business, a few stun guns, and a bag of diamonds, and mix them all up with some shootings, a high-speed chase and car bombs exploding, then hang on for your first wild Rock Chick ride.

Rock Chicks, Book 1, by Kristen Ashley was a surprise to me. I'm not sure why because I have enjoyed several of Kristen's books. I will start by saying that I didn't love the cover...and that made me a bit skeptical, and even hesitant to begin. But when I did...to my delight, I discovered a light-hearted, lol, funny diversion from several of her other books.

A little reminiscent of "Stephanie Plum"...including a hilariously witty protagonist named Indie, missing diamonds, lots of clever antics; a motley collection of characters that I just loved, and, of course, hot Alpha's...I have already pre-ordered Book 2 which will be on audio June 10, 2014!

Enjoy this book! It is definitely Credit Worthy!

Kate Lamonica isn't Koti James' type. Too small. Too dark. And heaps too much work. So it's an easy bet that he can be her friend for six weeks without making a move on her, no matter what his mates would have said. Kate can't believe she's made the bet at all. New Zealand had seemed like the perfect escape from the stalker who'd threatened first her peace of mind and then her life. She certainly doesn't need any more trouble. Why on earth has she agreed to spend time with a Maori rugby player who's far too handsome and charming for his own good - and knows it?

"Just Good Friends" is a fun read that includes, just as in Book 1, historical and cultural points of interest about New Zealand...definitely enticing the traveler in me to take a trip there someday.
The narrator, Clair Bocking did a good job, and has a lyrical quality to her voice...her accents were right-on!
Definitely a fun listen when you are in need of a happy, basically stress-free book...

Everyone needs to be rescued sometimes. Everyone but Hannah Montgomery, that is. She just needs a vacation. Three weeks in New Zealand to sort out her life, figure out what she wants, seems just right. Oh, and to relax. She should definitely put that on the agenda. She certainly isn't looking for a fling with a professional rugby player, no matter how attractive he is. Hannah doesn't do casual. But maybe just this once.…

When spontaneous and carefree meets cautious and responsible, falling in love can get just a little Twisted

There are two kinds of people in this world: the ones who look first, and the ones who leap. I’ve always been more of a looker. A planner. Cautious. Then I met Drew Evans. He was so persistent. So sure of himself. He made it easy to leap with him.

Did you think Drew and I were going to ride off into the sunset and live happily ever after? So did I. But life is about choices, and Drew already made his. In fact, he tried to decide for the both of us—but you know that’s not my style. So I came back to Greenville, to spend some time alone . . . sort of.

Because old habits die hard, and sometimes you have to go back to where you began before you can move ahead again.

Emma Chase’s second installment in the “Tangled” Series fell short of my expectations. “Twisted” as told through the eyes of the leading lady, Kate and is narrated terrifically by Charlotte Penfield This is the continuing story of Kate and Drew two years later. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this, and perhaps my expectations were too high, since I gave 5 stars to Book 1.

Although I plan to continue looking forward to Emma Chase’s next audible, I only awarded Twisted an overall 3 stars, mainly because the narrator did such a good job with the material.

Throughout this novel, I found myself frustrated to the point of irritation with the NUMEROUS, (twisted) misunderstandings between the two main characters. It was, in my opinion overkill, because while the reader is supposed to envelope the “love” between Kate and Drew, their lack of faith and miscommunications bordered on the ridiculous. While Book 1, “Tangled” was funny and entertaining to read, “Twisted” was more of a “ugh…give me a break” read.

I’m on the fence with this one. Given the option, I probably would have to listen to it myself, and therefore making it credit worthy, however, I think you would be able to go into Book 3 without it. So, my vote is not worth the credit. Sorry.

Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles is the first book in the Perfect Chemistry Series, as well as the first book by Simone Elkeles that I have read/listened. Although it received an overall rating of 3 stars from me, the narration, performed well by Roxanne Hernandez and Blas Kisic, received 4 stars.

The Perfect Chemistry series is targeted toward teen’s ages 13 & up, and I can see howt it would hold more appeal for them. The bad boy meets good girl is classic in Romance Novels, and I am definitely a fan. But, while I, (at my age – ugh) certainly realize that this is fiction and not meant to be a taken as biographical, the ending is not at all probable. I might not object to my teen reading this, but I would certainly want to know what he or she were reading so that I might be able to shed some light on the plausible reality of the outcome of such a relationship. Don’t get me wrong, I have read hundreds of romance novels, and love them…13 just seems young.

Fairly good story, but sadly, I do not recommend as credit worthy.

Laura Kinsale brings to her readers, a book 2 that is an absolute credit worthy continuation to Medieval Hearts. In Book 2, LK creatively brings about a seemingly loveless character to his knees in love and redemption. Nothing short of a miraculous and believable character transformation.

As Laura's fans have come to expect from the her, you will experience a jaw dropping, awe-inspiring, can’t put down, captivating historical romance.

This novel is exhilarating; gratifying and exhausting (in the best sense of the word) experience (and I mean experience: see, hear, smell taste, and feel everything along with these amazing characters) the talented work that is Laura Kinsale.

    I remain addicted.

I do have one concern in my recommendation – as mentioned in another review, there are a few S&M scenes introduced in this novel. This was not particularly appealing to me, and I found it somewhat troublesome, however, artistically speaking, I could, to a certain extent, see how it might have been warranted for this story, as the alpha male had been severely abused as a child, adolescent, and young adult. Of course, the abusive upbringing of this character also made it more sad than tantalizing. Even so, I absolutely loved these characters and wanted the best possible outcome for them.

Again, the combination of Kinsale’s writing style and ability, with the brilliant narration of Nicholas Boulton, is perfection. I have said it before, and it will always bear repeating, Nicholas Boulton has got to be the most outstanding male narrator of Historical Romance of all time. His rich baritone voice is mesmerizing and is one to absolutely LOVE. This collaboration is nothing short of excellence!

"Fallen Too Far" by Abbi Glines was my first exposure to this author. I can’t really even remember why I bought it.

Generally, I have “Credit Worthy” criteria that I prefer to be satisfied prior to making a purchase. For example, I prefer Romance Novels with 4 + stars (unless I am already a fan of a particular author) and a minimum of 8 hours of listening time. I know! It sounds funny, but with over 850 audible books in my library, I am very picky.

Needless to say, "Fallen Too Far" celebrates a 4.30 Star rating, and is most definitely a Romance Novel; but offering just over 6.5 hours of listening time would have, under most circumstances, been too few for me to think as credit worthy. Whatever reason I decided to buy this novel, I am sure glad that I did! I really, really enjoyed this story. I loved Blaire…I wanted to take her into my motherly arms and tell her that everything would be alright...heck, I wanted to adopt her myself…lol.

I was hooked from the very beginning, and became a fan of Abbi Glines immediately. Get ready to experience a vast array of emotions from one end of the spectrum to the other. The characters are lovable…and not; they are fun, generous, caring…and not; the chemistry is magnetic, steamy, and tantalizing.

No doubt, this is not the last book by Abbi that I will find credit worthy. I have already purchased "Never Too Far", and "Forever Too Far".

This is a fun listen that is definitely credit worthy!

I discovered Mike Wells on Twitter, and found him to be a very interesting character himself. He is very well accomplished, and generous with his knowledge and advice. In other words, I like him.

I really wanted to love this novel, and while I did finish it, I did not find it to be, “unputdownable” (a self-proclamation by this author). In fact, I left it for probably a week or more before picking it back up to finish. This is not to say, however that I may not be tempted to try another of his books at some time in the future.

It could be, in part, that I didn’t enjoy this novel because I didn’t like the narrator, although I found much of the dialogue and character development to be left somewhat wanting. Overall, this read was disappointing and I would not recommend it as credit worthy.

What an amazing first for Emma Chase!

Wow…Tangled: The Tangled Series, Book 1, is a smoldering, sexy, hilarious, lol funny romance. Ms. Chase chooses the leading man, Drew, to tell the story as if he is in a conversation with the reader. This is actually a very personal, and involving method of narration, which, by the way, is masterfully performed by Sebastian York…can we give him more than ***** ?

Sebastian has the perfect voice for Drew; demonstrating the unadulterated sarcasm, wit, fowl mouthed, male point of view of everything from sex to business, to friends and family, etc… (Truthfully, I would have been a bit put-off by the profanity/fowl language, had it not been such a "Drew thing", and had he not been just so dry and hilarious). He was a very fun character to spend time with and Sebastian brought him right off the pages via Emma Chase’s amazing prose, like no one else could.

Good news for Chase fans, “Twisted” (Tangled Series Book #2) is to be published in March 2014. This novel takes place two years after Tangled, and is told from Kate’s point of view. Supposedly, also in March, the short story “Holy Frigging Matrimony” (Tangled Series #1.5) will be released. I hope that audible will pick these up as well.

For Mature Audiences Only – Definitely credit worthy!!!
