Her town’s lack of men may make headlines, but it isn’t news to Dakota Hendrix. The beautiful blonde has bigger problems to deal with, such as overseeing the romance reality competition filming in Fool’s Gold. Screening eligible bachelors is a difficult enough task, but Dakota hits an unexpected snag when a sexy stranger comes to town.

If you could sum up Only Mine in three words, what would they be?

    A great escape!

What other book might you compare Only Mine to and why?

    Susan Mallery books

Have you listened to any of Tanya Eby’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She always does a good job.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The relationships between the women in these books are loving and caring. Endearing. They are not competitive and are basically stress-free. Just nice. Susan Mallery develops her characters very well, and the reader begins to like and care about them. It is comforting to know when you begin reading her books that all will end well.

    Any additional comments?

My motive in reading these books is to enjoy a relaxing moment with a good book. I am not trying to learn anything by reading them. I just want to have a little fun, quiet time when I am alone.

The French Gardener by Santa Montefiore and narrated by Juanita McMahon was a little slow in the beginning, but stick with it and you will be rewarded with a beautifully written, breathtaking romance.

Santa Montefiore is an amazing storyteller, describing every scene, and personality with warmth and charm.

Juanita McMahon has a gift for narration, giving each character his or her own voice. I loved this listening experience.

This book is definitely credit worthy…I feel certain that I will, one day, repeat this listen.

Johanna Walker is used to taking charge. But she’s about to meet someone who will make her lose control....

It has always been up to Johanna to care for her family, particularly her younger brother, Cole. With an absent father and a useless mother, she’s been making decisions based on what’s best for Cole for as long as she can remember. She even determines what men to date by how much they can provide for her brother and her, not on whatever sparks may - or may not - fly. But with Cameron MacCabe, the attraction is undeniable....

Down London Road is another “can’t put down”, “must listen to again” novel by Samantha Young! Book 2 in the On Dublin Street series does not disappoint.

Samantha Young is such a talent! This is my second book to read by her, after “On Dublin Street”. She masterfully introduces her characters in a way that the reader feels a relationship with each; developing a vested interest in their future, their friends, their family, their loves, their happiness, their struggles and their triumphs. These amazing characters are once again, brought magically to life by Elle Newland.

As is true in her first novel in the series, there is a strong sexual content that is written within the context of the storyline, for mature audiences.

Johanna Walker is rather briefly introduced in the first novel as somewhat of a “gold-digger” interested in men only for what they could give her. She is featured in the second novel and the reader is reintroduced to her, immediately realizing that she is, indeed, remarkable! I don’t want to give to much away…just know going in that you will just love and care for her; and Cameron MacCabe is just what she needs.

Mark your calendars for June 18th when, “Until Fountain Bridge” (an On Dublin Street novella) is to be released by NAL in ebook in the US. This story follows the romance between Ellie Charmicael and Adam Sutherland.

    I cannot wait…

Credit Worthy? You’d better believe it!

Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens and Narrated by Rebekkah Ross is O.K., but nothing really special. I found it to be extremely monotonous, and longer than necessary. The plot is almost nonexistent. Rebekkah Ross actually did a very good job with the narration, considering the length and repetitive nature of the story.

I am amazed that I stuck it out to the bitter end. I found myself wondering about how much longer it would take to get to the conclusion, which seldom happens to me. I would definitely not listen to this book again, and cannot say that it was/is credit worthy.
    Bottom line: Save your credit!

Bellamy Lyston was only 12 years old when her older sister Susan was killed on a stormy Memorial Day. Bellamy's fear of storms is a legacy of the tornado that destroyed the crime scene along with her memory of what really happened during the day's most devastating moments. Now, 18 years later, Bellamy has written a sensational, best-selling novel based on Susan's murder. Because the book was inspired by the tragic event that still pains her family, she published it under a pseudonym to protect them from unwanted publicity. But an opportunistic reporter for a tabloid newspaper discovers that the book is based on fact....

Savannah “Van” Leone has loved Peter since the day they met. The problem is, Peter has loved Van’s best friend, Janie, since the moment they met. And now they’re walking down the aisle, with Van standing nearby in a Halloween-orange bridesmaid dress, her smile as hollow as one on a jack-o’-lantern. After the wedding Van drowns her sorrows in Kool-Aid-vodka cocktails and reruns of Rin Tin Tin, and does what any woman in her situation would do: She buys a German Shepherd over the Internet.

Slow Heat in Heaven by Sandra Brown and Narrated by Dick Hill is one of the most gripping novels I have ever had the pleasure to listen.

This novel is not for young eyes. It is graphic in some places, vulgar in others, and drips with Louisiana bayou suspense throughout. Ms. Brown’s scene descriptions manage to envelop all of the reader’s senses while her detailed character development is unsurpassed.

The story is absolutely spellbinding; weaving a vast array of emotions that include love, hate, deceit, sabotage, revenge, seduction…you name the emotion, and Sandra Brown has masterfully intertwined them into the complicated characters that are brought to life –
and I mean brought to life...by Dick Hill. WOW…His narration rivals the very best audible has to offer!

Something About You: FBI-US Attorney Series, Book 1 was my first Julie James read, and I found it to be entertaining, and credit worthy.

In fact, I believe it to be credit worthy enough to take advantage of the Semi-Annual Sale and purchase the next 3 books in the series. I am currently on book 2.

The story is full of action and romance with a protective FBI leading man who captures the heart of the Assistant US Attorney, Cameron Lynde.

This is not a 5 Star Book in my opinion, but it is a solid, enjoyable read.

    Oh…My…

“Dublin Street” is a “can’t put down”, “must listen to again” novel by Samantha Young, and Braden Carmichael is perhaps the best leading man…ever!

This story is rich in emotion with great characters that you will love.
There is a strong sexual content found in these pages, but responsibly written within the context of the storyline.

Mark your calendars for May 7, 2013 when the Second installment of the Dublin series, “Down London Road” will be released on ebooks! I was so impressed with “Dublin Street” that I made a visit to Samantha Young’s website. There, I found out that Publisher’s Weekly announced that Samantha signed a book deal for the third book in the series as well.

    I cannot wait…
