The Harlequin-meets-action-figure thing doesn't cut it. Can't tell if this is Nathan McBride or the Bobsey Twins.
This is an interesting take on an increasing threat. Lou Diamond Phillips performance is also satisfying.
The main characters in this story do not have the depth to justify yet another navel-gazing volume. Might have been a good short story.
Could have been so much better. I don't buy a feminized gelding detective who yearns to give foot massages and has none of the assurance or self control displayed by his O So Smart female partner. If the genders of the characters were reversed this would be rejected as a sexist waste of time. It still is. Could have been a great story but appears the author ran out of interest, or energy, or whatever...
