"Great book but the reader sounded robot like."
Great Classic Read!
I love Ms Mary. She has an awesome spirit!
I understand that the language itself was probably hard to do, but the performer I thought was very robot-like and just didn't sound right. Almost like a new reader in grade school. That's a bummer because I think sometimes that can make or break an audio book. Good for the author the storyline was wonderful! As expected in a classic!
I love it when Ms Mary tells Collin off for being a bratt
"The Tomorrow Series was Freaking Awesome!!"
Yes, and I have to several folks already! This series was a page turner, if you will! I couldn't wait to finish one book to get started on the next. Thank goodness for audio books, or I wouldn't have gotten anything done reading this lot! I couldn't stop listening to them. Then I listened to them again with my children until we finished the series again!
Divergent and Insergent which was also a great series! I can't wait for the final book of that series too. The story lines were different but similar as far as the characters, their hardships and important decisions and actions to continue to live. They both show great courage in the face of danger. They give encouragement and hope to every reader.
She was a perfect match for this series. I would love to hear her in more audio books. She did a wonderful job in every character. So much so that you knew who was who when they spoke or did something. She is a great performer! Thanks Suzi Dougherty!
Absolutely, twice!
Good combination of Author and Performer! The book series was worth every penny and probably more! Thank you John Marsden for an awesome series. I will be looking for others from you!
"Wonderful Tale! History lesson included!"
Yes, It is a rich tale with a touch of history! Keeps you interested.
Mr. Maddelin, Im not sure how to spell it but the main character is my favorite.
No, I haven't listened to him before but he did an outstanding job on this book.
Every part that the main character was able to pull himself, and others, out of a situation by digging deep and forcing himself to go on.
The entire book including the history lessons that intertwine are fasinating and mind capturing. You want to finish it in one sitting, which is impossible to do if you work or go to school or have a life.
"OMGish, where is the next book!!"
Intelligent, Exciting, Enthralling
Two moments I think caught me, the first was when her friend Al helped the other kids almost kill Tris. The second was finding out Tris's mother and father were also transfers. Especially that her mother was Dauntless and if I remember correctly Divergent too!
Two scenes a the very least, the first was when Tris's mother saves her but unfortunately dies doing so. The second was her rescue by Four and her brother Kalub.
I absolutely loved every part that Tris beat the serums and caused the scenarios to turn around in her favor. This causing the leader on the other side aggravation. And I love the fact that Tris and Four finally got together as a couple!
Someone needs to tell the author to hurry up with the next book!
"One of the best reads since The Hunger Games!"
I honestly don't consider one over the other. I use the audio versions of books because it is convenient as I am always on the go and do not always have time to sit and read. I love books any way I can read them.
The Hunger Games because they have a similar theme and progression through the series.
I don't have a favorite scene, but if I had to pick it might be all of the scenes where she proves to herself that she is where she is supposed to be.
I laughed in a couplets parts and I was in awe in others.
This book was a page turner and I couldn't wait to get to the next book in the series.
"Another Great Classic!!"
I love that it comes from the dogs point of view.
When his final owner saves him from the "beast"
Tom does a great job in making all the characters accents and voices. You can really get the feeling and the idea of all the different people that are involved.
Life is tough when you're part wolf And they know it
