It's amazing that Elizabeth was able to be so honest with what happened to her. I really wish the best for her & she's inspired me to live each day to the fullest. What a strange story of warning with what happens each day right under our noses. I think she's amazing for being an activist now, here's to hoping this doesn't happen to any other young beautiful souls.
This is the first book about kidnapping that I've read.
Even the most horrific events can lead to a beautiful life if you just fight to stay true to yourself & survive.
A must read, very powerful, though may make you cry at how honest & brutal this story-events where.
Such a cool story and history. The guy who reads it sounds like a young American college kid with no life experience though. If only they had a Japanese person read it or an older smart sounding person. Oh well still good.
Makes you a genius if you listen or at least feels that way. All his books are my favorite ever!
Fun to hear him read it himself yay so fun.
Meditation is amazing and great to hear about how a real artist understands it.
Yay super fun read especially on a flight from LA to NY.
Main character as book is about her duh.
Fun narrator, well if you're a young lady, maybe older men wouldn't like it.
This author does not understand that repetition does get old. Wow
The performance & story was ok it was just her repeating and only caring about her being the 13th child that sucked big time.
After the first 4 times I would stop talking about her 13th child crap unless the story actually changed a bit from it.
I own a business so it's helpful to me, not sure how someone else would enjoy it but it was a fun helpful read.
Yep I recommend it & for everyone to do something nice for another at least once a week or once in their life :) This book inspires me to be a better person.
This book is so inspiring, Jake's mother, the voice of the book, is so kind it just makes you want to do more & see others in a new light. So happy I read it. The narrator is great, the story is well written & everything else about the book is just wonderful. I recommend it very much.
relatable yet still interesting
The mother making such a connection with her son & listening to what he needed by dancing with the fire flies.
I really like that they weave a historical path through witchcraft history but also let you know what is viable in our modern time & the real history. It's fun to listen too & does move along very quickly which made me want to learn-read more.
Gives both the hardships of these early magical pioneers, their dreams & their downfalls all together. So is a full round perspective.
How quickly the whole thing moves along, everything so far I've liked.
It made me feel like I was in a tunnel & the images in the book where the paintings in this tunnel cave.
I recommend it for road trips.
