"I couldn't put it down."
I loved this book. The subject matter was a real turn off untill I started listening and then I was hooked!! A dictorship and a revolution ingnighted by a young girl. Read all three books!!!
"My Friend really liked it"
My Friend really liked it, but I felt like it was all a bit improbable. The ending left me feeling hopeless. It defiantly has intrigue and twists and turns, just a bit depressing for me.
Maybe
They were both good.
I doubt it.
I just prefer something a little more up beat.
"So dissapointing"
A very sad depressed person that wants to listen to a depressing story.
I loved JK Rowlings Harry Potter books. This is not it. The end of the book is such a let down. I feel like I suffered through it for nothing.
The narrator was fine, just didn't add anything to make me want to listen to another of his books.
No
I just kept waiting for the story to have a plot or a reason. It just went on and on and then ended.
"Bloody and Shocking!"
I don't know if I would listen to it again soon. When the TV Series comes back out I might revisit it. It is very wordy and goes on a bit.
You can not believe the twists and turns the plot takes. Some great moments turn into absolute horror and some horrible moments turn into a good change of events for your favorite Characters.
I don't think anyone could do much better, this is a very difficult book and he does an amazing job. You really feel the era through his voice.
The bloody wedding, I shall say no more!
I am downloading the next book right now, so I think you can imagine I have been enjoying the series!
"The story is a bit hard to follow"
Each Character goes by many different names and it made it difficult to keep track of which character was talking or being talked about. Honestly I watched the series around the same time I was reading the book and it helped immensely to keep track of what was happening and who was who. The story does draw you in eventually and the end really makes you want to read the next book. So even though I gave it only a 3 I will get the next book to see what happens.
Yes, if they are good readers. However, I would use the disclaimer that it can be confusing.
The narrator was good but not great.
I already have.
Not for young readers
"The "Inheritance" series is one of my favorites!"
Gerard Doyle is superb in his performance! You do not even need him to tell you which character is speaking, you can tell just by listening.
In this epic saga we finally get to meet the terrible Galbatorix. The culmination of a much speculated battle with all of the races involved. I loved this whole series, but I have to say my favorite book was Eldest when he changes and becomes more elf like. That is where I was a little disappointed in this last book because I wanted him to marry Arya. The ending was a surprise, but as he says in his interview afterwards, it leaves him open to a sequel.
The entire series is as good as the hunger games and almost as good as Harry Potter.
No I have not.
It made me laugh and cry and my stomach churn at some of the horrible scenes.
I highly recommend this series, one of my all time favorites.
"A must read!"
I think like all things great you are always a little let down at the end. Although I enjoyed this book very much. I wanted a better ending.
"Good to the last word!"
I think I liked this book the best because it was the center of the story and I couldn't wait to hear each word. Be warned it ends abruptly and will make you run out and buy Mocking Jay as fast as you can!
"Irreverent, deliciously funny!!"
I have to say I enjoyed this book immensely. I couldn't stop listening to it all the way to the very end. I laughed at myself and enjoyed hearing all the hard times she went through. It made me feel so not alone. I never really new Roseanne, but now that I do I
wish I could spend an afternoon on the "Nut Farm" talking with her and drinking wine
and enjoying the "Mule" watching the pigs!
"The naration was awesome!"
Although the story is nothing new, the characters draw you in and the Naration is amazing. I felt transported back to Mississippi and felt like I knew all the people involved. I really enjoyed this book and will listen to it again.
