This book seems to start slow, but really picks up. The narrator is terrific and I choose this book based on her as the narrator.

Overall, I get the over invasive parents and fleeing to another place to start over, things are going well and then they improve. I totally felt invested in the characters and could see them getting together. I'd recommend as a light read and a great road book.

I totally loved this book! Sophie does a wonderful job with the narrations and the story is terrific. I so enjoyed Dragon Bound but was very disappointing with Thea's next 2 books then she did this one and it's super. Takes place right after Serpent's Kiss

I loved the characters! I can see the attraction in both directions and the growth and learning of each. I would absolutely recommend this - I've listened to it several times and enjoy it each time.

Anna never knew werewolves existed until the night she survived a violent attack...and became one herself. After three years at the bottom of the pack, she'd learned to keep her head down and never, ever trust dominant males. But Anna is that rarest kind of werewolf: an Omega. And one of the most powerful werewolves in the country will recognize her value as a pack member - and as his mate.

This book was engaging and Holter did a great job - I love him as a narrator and actually chose this book based on him being the narrator.

The story was engaging and lively. The characters were well developed and I could see them ending up together. I'd recommend this audiobook.

To most, they are animals—even when in human form. They are to be collared and kept on the fringes of society, scorned because they are feared, hated for their extraordinary powers. And attorney Kim Fraser has to go right into the heart of their lair. It’s her job to defend those in need. But there’s absolutely nothing defenseless about Liam Morrissey. His soft Irish lilt and feline grace can’t disguise his sheer strength.

I've enjoyed the world that Jennifer Ashley has created with her shifters. Each of her characters are well developed and have fun/interesting/sometimes quirky personalities. I could only listen when on the open road - too engaging to try and listen to it in traffic ;-) I'd recommend it.

Five thousand years out of the Labyrinth, the Minotaur finds himself in the American South, living in a trailer park and working as a line cook at a steakhouse. No longer a devourer of human flesh, the Minotaur is a socially inept, lonely creature with very human needs. But over a two-week period, as his life dissolves into chaos, this broken and alienated immortal awakens to the possibility for happiness and to the capacity for love.

I know that this is a "well reviewed" book and has won awards and such but it was just not interesting. I didn't get past about chapter 5 so boring and no spark to keep it going. He doesn't create any reason why I should care about the Minotaur or his trials and tribulations.

Also, I prefer when an author chooses a tense for the book and sticks to it. First second or third person, all good, just not all at the same time!

The detailed mass e-mail to Mike's family, friends, and clients blows up in her face, and before one can say "instant urban legend", Lacey has become the pariah of her small Kentucky town and a media punch line....

So, the story is a little lame - our heroine is a little ditsy and can't seem to make very good decisions. But overall, it was a fun listen. What saved the story was really the narrator.

She actually kept my interest in the story - Please hire more readers like her!!! She read like she had actually read the book before, was clear and could be heard clearly when driving a car. She's super easy to listen to and draws you into the book really well.

I loved, loved, loved Thea's two book, but was a very disappointing with Rune's story. And I didn't care for how it just suddenly ended. I'm pretty sure she's planning to pick it up in other stories but left me very unsatisfied.

What was most disappointing about Thea Harrison’s story?

The contrivance of conflict between Dragos and Rune - they've been bffs for over a thousand years, and after one exchange now they don't speak again? WTF?

What about Sophie Eastlake’s performance did you like?

The story is outstanding but the narrator makes if almost impossible to hear him when driving. He insists upon whispering - literally- though most of the dialogue. I missed half of the book because I was driving and couldn't keep turning the sound up and down. Ever-so-annoying!!!!!

How could the performance have been better?

STOP WHISPERING!! Just read the book!

Where does Dragon Bound rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is a top book for me. The book was great and the narrator was fan-freakin-tastic. Too often the narrator can kill a book for me but Sophie was great. her voices were distinctive but didn't detract from the book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dragon Bound?

the whole book was great - grab me immediately and didn't let go. I was really wondering how Drago was going to get to a non-manipulative, caring place and the author did a super job. I really enjoyed the supporting characters as well. Hope her next book is just a delightful.

Which character – as performed by Sophie Eastlake – was your favorite?

    Pia, of course

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

because a tough day can last for weeks

    Any additional comments?

    totally recommend :-)
