Coming of age story with an excellent reader. A reflective walk though of the SF genre pre-1980 by way of the characters reading habits and book club. In no way SF and only a marginal fantasy.
Narration makes this novel unbearable. Best seller in France, go back to France. Story is so long and tedious. Who cares about the truth about Harry, not I.
Made it 6 hours and I didn't care about any of the characters or the storyline. Pass this one by.
Great story, great reader., What more could one want? Time for book two. Couldn't stop listening.
Did not live up to past works by the author. Half way through I was waiting the book to end.
So implausible that each turn made it more far fetched. Thrilled that it was done at the end. Premise held merit.
A far reaching dystopia that keeps ones interest throughout. A dark story line that will continue to provide material on many levels. When is the next book expected.
2/3 of the story was interesting 1/3 of the story seemed liked a bad trip on pharmacueticals. Exchanging bodily fluids contaning nanoparticle message bots via orgies and then the inclusion of fluorescent condoms in the ceremony was a what moment for me. The Fairy tales seemed a bit endless and unbearable.
Didnt take long to get hooked. OSC more please! Multiple readers work to perfection. Story line has so much potential.
Tired story line, why did I listen I keep asking myself. I guess the first 3 in the series kept me in up to this point but never again.
